Appreciate what you have

A friend of mine was involved in a car accident with her family recently. They were on their way home from the beach – a beautiful picnic. They had a very good time and tragedy was the last thing on anyone’s mind.But tragedy did strike. Although the weather had cleared up, it had been raining that afternoon and the road must have been slippery. The drive was smooth though and the kids, contented, was sleeping in the backseat while mommy and daddy was just talking about the awesome day that they had.

Then suddenly daddy said “look at the lorry”… and the next thing they knew, “that lorry” – which was on the opposite direction was heading towards them! Daddy did not manage to avoid a direct hit as the lorry was travelling at a crazy speed. The car spun off the road and stopped at the side of the road. Two other cars were involved.

Luckily help came fast. While mommy and daddy exited the car, someone carried the kids out of the car. They were all frantic and traumatized but otherwise fine. No one was injured.

Alhamdullilah! – Thank GOD!

Moral of the Story: Appreciate and Treasure what you have. You never know how long they are going to still be with you.
