Hey look Nick, it seems that dance worked after all.. it’s snowing here in LJL…and GK, I guess your dream came true?? HO HO HO

And since I’m also into this Christmas mood now, I found out why the star is always at the top of the Christmas Tree…

One particular Christmas season a long time ago, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip, but there were problems everywhere. Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule.

Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her mom was coming to visit. This stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out, heaven knows where. More stress.
Then when he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked, and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys.

So, frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered that the elves had hidden the liquor, and there was nothing to drink. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider pot, and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw end of the broom. Just then the doorbell rang, and irritable Santa trudged to the door. He opened the door, and there was a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said, very cheerfully, “Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn’t it a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?”
Thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree…

GP suggested to make a snowman, so I made four…hehehe.. any other suggestion??

Anyone would think working with the computers and being in the IT line is the most non-hazardous job there is. Well I am here to tell you, YOU’RE WRONG…lolz.. My hubby works with computers and just today he cut his middle finger while assembling or was it disassembling a PC. This was an old PC and the edges of the case was sharp and he, was at the same time talking to someone on speaker phone as well, so he was a tat distracted.

Now, you see, my hubby is also a bleeder because I think the darling has lots of blood so don’t get alarm when you see this picture and if the sight of blood makes you naseous, now’s the time to close your eyes..

But not to worry, with lots of TLC from his lovely wife, he’ll be ok in no time.

We love our cats very much but every time we consider going for a holiday, the subject of who will take care of them always have us thinking that perhaps going on an extended holiday is not such a good idea anyway. The last time we had a vacation, the kitties spend ten days in boarding and at RM10 a tail, you do the math. However, that never stopped us from the occasional “look and see” attitude whenever the holidays season start. We’ll go online and check out flights and hotel reservations and see what travel agencies are offering this year as oppose to last year. Who knows? A right bargain might come up worth considering right?

A website we found recently holds promise. HotelReservations dot com offers a variety of holiday packages that suit all kinds of budget with savings of up to 70% and they even guarantee that their prices are the lowest you can find anyway online. They have arrangement for flights, hotels and also car rentals. Everything you need in one site.

I guess all we need now is a CatSitter eh? ;-)

I got this in my mailbox today and thought it was a nice one to start Thursday with.

You’ve might not known these philosophy,
but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female.

FREEZER BAGS:
They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS:
These are female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm them up again. They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong buttons.

TYRE:
Tyre are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated.

HOT AIR BALLOONS:
Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their a*s

SPONGES:
These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES:
Female, because they’re constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS:
Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

EGG TIMERS:
Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS:
Male, because in the last 5000 years, they’ve hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL:
Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he’d be lost without it, and while he doesn’t always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying…

Any truth to these guys and girls??

I waited patiently when I heard that Trinity already mailed out the gifts that I’ve won from the contest that she had a while back at her site. When it did not arrive before my departure to SG, I guessed I just had to wait a little bit more. And you know what, when I arrived in Singapore that evening on the 12th, and during my conversation with hubby, he mentioned that a parcel came for me and when it arrived he was not home! So now he got to wait for my return to claim the parcel at the post office.

Just my luck to have missed it then, but the most important thing is it arrived safe and sound and here are some pictures of it that I took today. I had wanted to post about it sooner but I got tied up with Nina needing more test among other things.

Here’s my gift from Trinity that I absolutely adore!!

Ain’t it beautiful.. thanks so much Trinity and I love the lovely card too…Muahssssssss!!!!!

I was minding my own business at the bus-stop in Singapore when there was a commotion behind me. This auntie was speaking in Mandarin and was actually hollering at her kids and at the same time was waving her arms and profusely hitting at a young man . Everyone was looking at the yelling woman yet not doing anything. I looked on as well and somehow they all looked very familiar to me and then I saw the cameraman sitting underneath an umbrella. Next I saw the lighting reflector, then it dawned that these people were actors and actress and they were shooting a scene and I was right smacked in their background…lolzz..

Me, being shy and all, immediately walked away but not before taking one measly shot with my pathetic camera phone which, as I have expected, turned out pretty bad but I shall post anyway once I transfer the picture to my pc.

Look out for me eh…I’m a Star…

I rushed back yesterday upon receiving an invitation to attend an Award Party organized by our very gracious and lovely Trinity. It was grand affair and everyone who’s anyone was going to be there to walk the red carpet. So there’s me there in the corner all decked up in my elegant pale khaki silk gown as this is a Gala Event.

After the “Beautiful Site Award” was given out, came the “BreakOut Blogger Award”, The handsome prince charming, Mr Fong was on stage to present the award. Mr Fong explained what the award is all about..

“This award casts a spotlight on bloggers who are just beginning to draw lotsa attention
— the equivalent of a song with a bullet on Billboard’s Top 100 chart.
Lotsa good posts. Lotsa good buzz.
These bloggers are going places in a hurry.”

And the award went to…… LadyJava
(applause…heheh)
As I walked up the stage to receive my award, I could not help but stole a smile and an air kiss to Trinity who was sitting at the VIP corner.

Anyway my speech went something like this…

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Firstly I would like to thank the organiser, Ms Trinity who has graciously organise this wonderful evening for all of us. I also would like to say how happy I am that her hubby is feeling better and also a big congratulations on the awards that she has received as well.

As for the award, I once again would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Trinity for putting so much faith in me and my blogs and her well wishes that I make much money and fame soon..;)..and I could not have done it with the support of my hub, family and friends like you

Thank you, thank you, thank you..
Oh also thank you to our sponsors for these lovely costume..

Oh what a wonderful evening that was…and more awards for the gallery :-)

And since I am all decked up with no place to go, I decided to go grab my other awards as well..

First stop was to GK’s where I sense an award is waiting for me (actually he told me in my shoutbox lah..lolz). GK presented me with two awards which is so sweet despite the fact I left him with 3 memes before my trip to SG..heheh (sorry eh GK)..

Thanks so much GK.. you’re a great buddy too…

Next stop was to Jennifer where I was awarded the…

I love being Fabulous Jennifer.. thanks a bunch :)

I shall be just a little selfish tonight and enjoy these lovely awards myself this time…don’t hate me ahh….

I just can’t stay away folks. After the shopping spree over at Mustafa’s, I managed to convince my mom to let me sneak to the cyber cafe downstairs to check my mail and stuff for about an hour. So here I am :-)

Wow! What a long long drive that was from KL to Singapore. Although we did not stop for lunch, the trip still took close to 6 hours. The coach was going so slow that everytime I woke up from my nap, it was still Johor :(.. I guess it better to be safe than sorry right. For all you know, the company only got one of those cheap car insurance which is good thing because I, for one, don’t have any life insurance. Lolzz… I had it once before in Singapore but I forgot to pay it once I got married and the policy notices all went to the house in Singapore and it got lapsed. Oh well.. which reminds me I got to renew the home insurance policy for mommy. Otherwise she’ll got berserk ….:-)

Ok folks, my time is almost up and I still have those tonnes of mails to open… the price of being away for so long.. Till the next time… I bid you Adieu :-)
