I did my 300 drops last night (yihaa!!) and all this while still watching movies, tv serials and my favourite soap opera with the main man!

Remember Desperately Seeking Susan? Well.. anybody seeking LJ? LOL. Don’t worry, LJ did not take a bunch of Lipozene and became skinny and disappear from the view. LOL!
Rather, LJ has been so busy tweaking three blogs at one go! Should be finishing one tonight though with one pending design approval and another one being re-tweaked again because the blog owner wanted to streamline it with her e-commerce concept.
However, I’m still trying to drop 300 cards daily though the massive traffic jam over at EC traffic has really been challenging and not being kind to me… sigh…

Azwaj came home yesterday and informed me that his motorbike’s throttle has broken, which means the bike is gonna be out of commissioned until it’s repaired. Hmm.. so today we decided to walk 1.5km to the nearest motorbike repair shop to have it done. Azwaj was of course walking with the motorbike in tow. I could have not accompanied him but I thought the exercise would do me good anyway.
We walked braving the horrendous traffic for about 1/2hour. The repair job actually took a shorter time than that! LOL!
Anyway, whaddaya know, it started to rain when we were done and we had to brave that one as well…
The gist is …. I GLISTENED! both from the sweat and from the rain…heheh

Christmas is coming and with that so many kids would be getting their dream toys, provided of course, they’ve been good that is :)
Some have requested for computer games while some put in a request for that brand new bicycle. Then there are those that request for that all time favorite disney figurine as well. If I was a kid right now and can sit on Santa’s lap, I would request for the “Sleeping Beauty’s Princess Roomâ„¢”….LOL!
I’ve never had a doll house growing up and this looks so awesome. I mean, check out the picture above. Isn’t it just so adorable. I just love the canopy bed and the magic mirror. The box says there are 51 items! Can you just imagine what else is in there! Wow! I’m getting so excited…hehe
The price is reasonable too. It’s just too bad I don’t have a girl of my own otherwise this would so be on her wishlist. LOL!

I think the title of this post say it all. Connections sucks from 9pm just now and that is about the same time I started getting sleepy. I was actually at Azwaj’s office earlier today but since pages won’t load and the EC widget won’t display even after third refresh on most pages, I switched off Miss Fly and counted sheep.
So now at 3.24am and at home, the internet speed still has not improved. I’m gonna wash up and say goodnight to one and all. The midnight owl is taking a break…

Now that my online blog makeover store has kicked off, I need to think of advertising my services to attract more clients. Though I think I may be overly ambitious here. As it is, even with two clients at the same time, I am already lagging behind in all the things that I used to do while being online before.

…. it pours! My ex-boss used to love using that phase. The company that I was working for almost often break the SGD1M mark by first half of the year so you can only imagine the work that all of us had to do. However they pay very well so no complaints whatsoever from the staff including me :)
And that’s how I feel right about now.. it’s raining and I love it!! Though I’m nowhere near the million mark or the thousands for that matter…LOL, the work has kept me busy which means less time to drop and visit you guys. But…. I’m here.. anytime should anyone need me.. just holler ok :)

We were at a friend house over the weekend and he showed us some of his refurbishment work. It’s quite good actually. We’re not sure when he actually took up the hobby but by the look of satisfaction on his face as he explained to us where he found the old antique items, in this case, his bed and the process of the refurbishment, we can tell he’s extremely proud of his hobby :)
And I don’t think he needed any special place like a spray booth or anyway to do the work either. Just good old fashioned outdoor did the trick.

You can never tell when any unexpected emergency situation is gonna strike. I guess that’s why it’s called unexpected and emergency in the first place right? Most times, these emergency not only create havoc in our personal lives but our finances as well.
An example in our lives would be when out kitty, Nina, suddenly had this illness that had her going to her little bin ever so often. Upon numerous visits to the vet and going through uncountable test to ascertain the disease, we finally found out what was the cause of the problems and the vet was able to make her all better again. However, through it all, with each test and each visit, it was a draw on the finances. Money meant for other purposes at the time was instead used up for the emergency situation. It was a few days more before payday but what else can we do. Nina’s treatment could not wait any longer. We were not regretful of the situation but rather it was a wake up call to start saving for rainy days.

That was until my SIL asked us to listen to this song that she’s been listening to day and night and when I heard it! OMG!!!

I’ve known for some time now that blogger or blogspot does their own domain sale. You can easily find this option by going to your dashboard >> settings> publishing. However what I did not know was that they were offering USD10 for a domain name plus a private domain registration and that means your private data will be not visible when people do a whois search. I personally don’t mind it but for you who might, this is a great add on. Godaddy actually charge you something like USD9 for this. Blogger would also do all the necessary blog forwarding so no hassle there. What I am not sure is how the dashboard would look like and how easy it would be if you decide to change your platform later, say to wordpress for instance.
That being said, I am very comfortable with GoDaddy and forwarding can be done in a matter of steps as I would highlight below:
Let me first congratulate you on your wonderful new domain. It is a wonderful and exhilarating experience as I’m sure my BFF, Mariuca, who just earlier today did her own move, can attest to :)…
This short tutorial is for those of you who, like me, actually prefer the blogger platform to wordpress simply because of its ease of use [though I’m sure lots of wordpress user might dispute.. but hey.. lets agree to disagree ok ]…:)
Ok.. once you bought your domain…make sure now you are on the GoDaddy dashboard that looks like this:
- Look for “Forwarding” and click on that.
- On the next page, click on “Enable Forwarding“
- In the first box, enter the text “http://www.xxx.xxx where” “xxx’ is your domain name. Don’t forget the “www”
- Click on “301 Move permanently“
- Enter save.
- This process might take a while so it’s best to get it out of the way first
- Next click on “Total DNS Control and MX Records“
- This would bring you to another screen where you will see all your domain information
- In the second table, “CNAMES”, look under the “Host” for “www”
- Follow the line to the right and click on the pencil icon
- The next message that would appear next is a warning. Just ignore that and click yes
- In the first box now the letters “www” should already be there
- In the “Points to Host Name” box replace the “@” with the text: ghs.google.com
- Click: OK
- And we are done on GoDaddy side.
Now off to the blogspot side:
- From your dashboard, go to Settings>>Publishing
- Click on “Custom Domain”
- Click on “Switch to Advance Settings”
- In the Domain box, enter your new domain name so that it would show: http://www.xxx.xxx
- Very important : Do not forget the “www”
- Click on Save settings
You are now done! Now that wasn’t too painful right?
What you have done is basically forward your existing blog at blogspot to the new domain you have bought! So blogging is as what you are used to before the redirect. No changes at all. All you have to do now is change your feed url and your technorati link.

I’ve always been a fan of Godaddy dot com. All my domains are registered with them. I love them not only for their easy to use website, the ability to pay using paypal but because they work seamlessly with blogger and redirecting your blog to your own custom domain has become a piece of cake.
Their customer service is also excellent as Azwaj who also registered a domain with them was having problems redirecting emails to his company local server and within 15minutes of sending them a ticket, Azwaj already got the answer to his questions. Awesome service!

One thing I hate about the riding the motorbike is when it rains! Like today for instance, we were ready to go out for lunch cum dinner, waited for the stupid lift that took like a whole 5 minutes to come to our floor, reached downstairs and whaddaya know when we got downstairs, it started to rain. Not those little drizzle that we normally just say “Heck it” but those gigantic droplets that would leave us drenched to the core of our being. 
So we decided we would wait it out upstairs since it looked like it’s gonna be while before the rain stops. We waited yet another 5 whole minutes for the lift to reach to the ground floor. And then it stopped on each floor coz some idiot had pressed all the buttons!
Arghh!!.. there goes fifteen minutes of my life!

A long time ago, DNA testing was something foreign to a lot of people. Crimes was left unsolved and criminals walk away free simply because there was no way to really proof that they did it. There was no technology to do it.
Nowadays it is the core of lots of criminal investigations and even for private purposes. Just the other day I heard about someone conducting a paternity test at a local hospital to find out if the person that claimed to be his son was really his. Of course this person is a well-affluent person in the society and has assets to spare on his demise.
Whatever it is, this technology has proved to be useful in this time and age with the rampant crime going on around us. If it can get one criminal off the street, then it has served it’s purpose.

.. or why does anyone blog?
Blogging to me is an avenue to put my thoughts into words. It is also an avenue for me to jot down the happenings in my daily life. I used to keep a journal for that but then sometimes it’s fun to share stuff too. Besides all my relatives and friends are so far away in Singapore and this is a nice way to keep them updated. I also made lots of new friends that are turning out to be my BFF already :)
It is so easy to start to start blog. All you need to do sign up to any of the free providers around. I love blogger dot com. I’ve been using it since the beginning and it has evolved so much that I dare say it can indeed rival most providers out there. I now have some blogs with their own domain and some blogs still with blogger. And I’m still hosting all with them. After all they are free ;)
However some bloggers prefer a lot of plugins that wordpress have to offer and for that you need to have web hosting. I know that are some free providers out there that have the wordpress platform and I’ve tried them out but when it comes to blog design, they don’t offer the flexibility your own hosting could provide.
