Over the Roof Snailmail *

As you guys know I was just back in my Singapore home and as usual after a 4 months absence, my snailmail box is over the roof. Here are just some of them:

1. Since I am approaching 40 in March, I got an offer from NTUC Income for the ElderShield Scheme. Uwah!!! Eldershield is an affordable severe disability insurance scheme which provides basic financial protection tho those who need long-term care, especially in old age. It provides a monthly cash payout of $400 for a maximum of 72 months to help pay the out-of-pocket expenses for the care of those policyholders who become severely disabled. As much as this sounds like a great insurance, I got to opt out of it as I don’t live in Singapore anymore and the payout is only for those living in Singapore.
2. I found out that resident individuals earning less than $22,000 a year, do not need to file an Income Tax Return for 2009 anymore. Prior to this everyone got to file even to report zero earning. So.. no filing for me and mommy!

And the good news….

As part of the GST offset package, I am getting SGD500 into my bank account. Yihaa!!.. the first payout is on 1st March for SGD250 and the the balance on 1st July! Sweet!!

MM- Flop Poppy at MyEvo ClubHouse Launch *

We had a blast on Saturday over at the MyEvo Clubhouse Launch. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to live bands playing and to be able to again was SUPER AWESOME!! We had fantastic bands playing too. I must say I was really impressed with the “otai” band SATIRA. After disappearing from the scene for 20 years, they were rocking the house with their previous hits. Everyone was singing along and die-hard fans was urging them encore so much that instead of one appearance last night, they stayed on and performed another set, much to the delight of the audience!

We also had Ana Rafali, an upcoming new star with a fantastic voice who I’m gonna feature at Being Woman, Peejoy – a wonderful singer with ah so romantics songs, that I’m featuring at Life’s Pages and Field Players that I’m featuring at Gossip Galore.

However, for today’s MM here over at LJL, I’m gonna feature my favorite band of the night, FLOP POPPY!. OMG! They were super awesome. I love their performance for that night. Sorry about the sound quality though, it’s my phone and definitely not them!

After Eight Chocolates

I often wonder why these chocolates are called that and if it is actually meant to be taken after eight only. LOL! But one thing is for certain. I simply love the minty taste!

I bought it on my last trip to Singapore and since I can’t find it anywhere in KL, you would just know that I would buy it each time I go back. The price have increased a bit since my last visit but it is soooo worthit. I would worry about the weight gain later. After all there is always those weight loss pill right?

Hiya peeps!!

Missed me?? As you might know already, I’m not in Kuala Lumpur but back at my homeland, sunny Singapore. My one hope of blogging from home, Mr Nice Guy (if you don’t know who he is, well.. just ignore me) is no where in sight. This means I have to come down to the cyber cafe downstairs to be online which is where I am right now ;)

Screaming Inside!

I am so angry right now that I should probably leave everything and just go far far away to ease my temper and my mind. The further the better. Perhaps even as far as New York City, though then I would need a New York City hotel reservation huh? And that cost money… hmm… I guess I’ll just stay home and scream my heart out inside the bathroom!!

A New Header for LJL

First thing first!!! I didn’t win the BlogNet award but am thrilled that my BFF, Mariuca did!!! Congrats dearie!!! You truly deserve it!!!

Now, as you can see I am already bored of my 3mth old header and decided to go with a new header for February!! This time it’s more personal, just me on my lounger with my laptop and of course, coffee (though I am trying to slow down on that). And, since it’s Valentine month and all, I have some chocolates on the table at the corner there for my visitors and of course another cup of coffee for you to enjoy with me while we yak the time away at LadyJava’s Lounge. No wine of the month unfortunately as this lounge does not serve alcohol ;)

My friend must be on holiday or something because she has not replied to me regarding the favour I asked of her so it’s a waiting game for me here unless I get another handbag to make me forget my Miche bag…LOL..
