We just lost our beloved 16years old pet cat, Mufasa, on Saturday afternoon. I’m taking this opportunity to post a special tribute to him here, at Life’s Pages and an EXTRA special video that I made of Mufasa dearest at Cat Tales.

Me and My Scars

I’m very luck when it comes to acne and pimples.. I just don’t get them! LOL.. but my problem comes with insect bites. You know, not only mosquitoes bite me, even ants do (yeah they do, I’m that sweet ) and then they would leave a mark on my hands or legs.

Sometimes aloe vera cream works. and sometimes they don’t leaving me with this ugly spot on my body. It’s not that noticeable.. even Azwaj laugh at me sometimes but me being a woman, I know it’s there and it bugs me!

So do you think I should get microdermabrasion?

My First Friday Fill-In

Ok.. GP and Ane seems to be having so much fun with this.. I figured why not give it a try eh.. here goes..

1. Apparently there’s some sort of packing party here at my home.

2. It’s been a hot and sunny day.

3. 2009, especially March and May have been fantastic so far.

4. It was just outdoor furniture and that was it.

5. For too long I’ve been procrastinating about packing.

6. I am not obsessed with blog makeover, I am not! LOL!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to packing, tomorrow my plans include packing and Sunday, I want to pack!

hahah.. that was fun!! lol!!

JSKit - Update : Add URL to your comments **

Just to let you guys know.. JS-Kit now has this little box added in their commenting system that allows visitors to leave their url even if you don’t have commentluv installed in your blog.

It's an Online Life

I was with a friend the other day, who I would say is not as techy as I am and who even asked me.. why I got so many pcs at home. So when I explained to her.. One was a server, one is for me and one is for my hubby.. she asked me again.. why? My answer? Why not?

Indeed, why not, right? I mean what is NOT available to do or even to buy online these days?

From shopping to banking, from ordering your favourite take out to buying travel insurance online, anything and everything is possible. I’m even “working” online.. from home these days. Something unheard of a while back. I still remember once upon a time whenever I sit in front of the pc playing games, my mom always tells me.. “don’t waste time in front of the pc. Do something more fruitful”.. and I don’t blame her.. it was true.. a long time ago.. LOL.. but now it’s different eh…I dare say USD dollars in my paypal account is more than fruitful.. ;)

Heck.. nowadays, you can even find your soulmate in the cyber world and I’m living proof of that! LOL!

ProtonXChange - A's Still Thinking *

A few days back we decided to check out ProtonXchange program. Basically the program was to offer potential customers a RM5000 voucher for cars that are 10years old and above to be offset with a new Proton car (minus their new model the Proton Exora).

As Azwaj’s Citroen is over 10years old, we thought it was a good deal. However, the terms are pretty strict. They just don’t want an old car but they want a WORKING and road worthy car meaning that the car got to go through the JPJ inspection, has a valid road tax and insurance cover. Now I’m wondering if our car is working well and road worthy.. why would I want a new car in this time of economic crisis? Go figure right?

Anyway, Azwaj is still thinking and since his Citroen does not have valid road tax or insurance right now (it’s has been sitting at the parking lot for a long time now), I guess he will think some more :)

Music Monday - Idol Week (Hady Mirza) *

I’ve enjoyed the American Idol theme that Mariuca has been having as her Music Monday that I’ve decided this week to do my own.. except mine will be to feature past Idols. For LadyJava’s Lounge, I’m gonna feature Hady Mirza, Singapore Idol 2006 and also Asian First Idol 2007. I just love his voice. This particular video has he performing one of my favourite song “Hijau” with another Malaysian star that I absolutely love Zainal Abidin (not an Idol but a legend in his own right). Enjoy!

Proton Exora - Nice!!! *

So after being in front of the pc for a good 24hours, both me and A decided that for dinner we were going to make it a tv dinner kinda thing. If it were up to A, we would probably be watching either the National Geographic or the History Channel but I was not going to have that. I grabbed the remote control and started flipping channels.

We ended up watching the launch of the Proton Exora on TV1 and all I can say is, it was worth the wait after listening to three different speakers! LOL!

The first ever Malaysian 7-seater MPV, Proton Exora, was really nice to look at and from what was revealed in terms of car accessories and such, it was really a value for money as well. In fact, Azwaj is thinking of getting one!! hehehe..

Missing in Action? *

I can’t believe it’s Sunday already again! Wow.. when was the last time I updated this blog? Oh well!!..

Anyway, yesterday the lift played it’s awful stunt of us again. We planned to go and have our dinner at a nearby place. The place is open-air and it was drizzling. When we arrived from our walk, all the sheltered area was taken and it looked like we had to wait a while. So Azwaj suggested we take a motorbike ride to another place. We walked back to our apartment, went on the lift, opened our front door, grabbed our helmets, closed the door, walked back to the lift landing, pressed on the down arrow button and the light on the button refused to light!

Hmm.. ok.. we thought perhaps the button was “short” from the rain.. so we walked down from the 10th floor.

When we reached the ground floor, Azwaj reached into his pocket and lo and behold… he forgot to take the motorbike keys!!! The poor chap now has to climb up to the 10th storey while I waited downstairs.

Anyway, to make a long story short, while waiting for Azwaj, I called the 24hrs life service number and lodge a complaint.. in hopes that by the time we returned, the lift will be fine again and I don’t have to climb the stairs once again.

We went for dinner, detoured to the Al-Rajhi bank, bought some groceries and arrived back to the condo at around 11pm and guess what, the lift’s technician was in indeed there (hurray for customer service ) and the lift was working once again!!! Yihaa!!

End of story….

Surprise for Me! *

The best kind of gift is always the unexpected one and this one sure came as one!

We went out late for dinner tonight and as usual I would always be the one checking our mailbox when we return.

This time there was a huge package in the mailbox. To my surprise it was from PosExpress and the sender was….. Debbie!!!

I told Azwaj.. ahh this must be my charm bracelet that I won for being March First Commenter but what a surprise it was, because it was actually a gift for my birthday and anniversary last month!

Thanks so much Debbie! I love my beaded coin purse and the colour RED is my favourite dearie.. Wowee!!! I LOVE IT!!
