OMG! I just got the news about Marie Osmond son’s, Michael Blosil, suicide. According to reports, Michael left behind a note that said he intended to commit suicide due to a life-long battle with depression.

Michael, 18 years old, jumped from his downtown Los Angeles apartment building on 27th February.

Donny Osmond, his uncle, said on Saturday morning: “Please pray for my sister and her family.”

I’ve always been a big fan of Marie Osmond and hopes that she remains strong during this tragedy.

My Plea To You

I’ve always been a peace loving person. I enjoy my peace and harmony. I try as much as possible to not be judgmental of other people and accept people as they are. I don’t let other people’s dispute bother me especially if it doesn’t involve me BUT if someone invade my personal place, invade my peace and invade my harmony, well, that is another thing altogether.

I have reconfirmed from my JS counterpart that they do not show any ads prior to any commenting box opening as seen on the screen shot below. The reason why I specified commenters must login before commenting is because I ONLY WANT SINCERE COMMENTERS WHO HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE. I appreciate commenters so I visit my commenters in return and if you would rather be anonymous. please excuse yourself from my blogs because I do not want you here or any of my blogs for that matter.

Having said that, I do not appreciate you linking to my blog with an issue you have with any program. Address it with the program themselves and do not use my blog as an example.

This is not the first time you have cited my blog as a “bad” blog. I kept quiet the first time as, like I say, I am a very patient person, however this time I need to take action. I don’t know what you have against my blog(s) but you definitely have an agenda. I’m not sure if I should feel offended or flattered that you seemed to ALWAYS visit me and feel the need to scrutinize my blog for flaws. As I see it, if I find problems with a certain blog or blogger, I just stay away, much like I stay away from you and your blog. However much to my dismay, I keep getting alert on Google that you have again and again been compelled to write something nasty about me and my blog(s). If you have a problem with my blog wouldn’t it be better to write to me and offer constructive criticism as oppose to bombarding me at your blog. I understand it might bring you traffic perhaps but at whose expense?

That being said, I seriously am not interested nor do I need to know the reason why that is so. I have so many other things to do and keep myself busy … so…here’s my plea…

Cleaning Away

I have never been one to like the air conditioning. In fact, me and the air conditioning had always have a love-hate relationship. I love the cool air but I hate the stuffy nose that I would get when I sleep in air conditioned room. So I prefer the fan instead. However, ever since this hot weather persisted, the bedroom, which is facing the afternoon sun, have gotten even more hot and stuffy. I’m thinking that perhaps a humidifier might be necessary to clear the air of all this stuffiness caused by the heat. Besides it helps clear the air of bacteria and dust and that is always a good thing.

Speaking of dust, ever since Nina got that nasty fever, the kitties have been spending a lot of time in the human room, which only means one thing. More fur in the human room! So now I got to do a little more vacuuming than before. Thank goodness we don’t have carpets around the apartment, otherwise for sure I would have to steam and deep clean those as well, as if I don’t have anything else to do! lol!

Anyways, this weekend I have set aside some time to organize my bathroom. I have so many toiletries in there that I don’t know what is what. You know things like those body scrub to tone the body (which never works) and that extra moisturizing shampoo (that literally leaves your hair limp) just sort of accumulate over the months and then you realize you never did need them in the first place. But since there is still plenty of them left in the bottle, you sure don’t feel like you want to throw them away and kinda wish you had more organized storage space in the bathroom like those sold at Shopwiki..lol!

Gosh! Now I feel like shopping there and who knows I may even get a tip of two from all those buyer’s guide they have at the site!

How to Get Top Commenter Widget to Work with JS-Kit and Update on How to Get Emoticons on Blogspot Blogs

I was researching best weight loss pills for who else but yours truly when I received an email from Bill about having emoticons on his blogs and about how he was not able to get his top commenter widget working on his blog.

I did a tutorial a while back on how to get emoticons/smileys on your blogspot blog but he was not able to get it installed on his blog. Just to remind everyone you need to have firefox running on your pc. This script has nothing to do with blogger but rather an addon to firefox browser. However, upon checking Bill’s blog, I noticed that my smileys were indeed missing from his”compose post” menu. Then I saw that Bill was using the “updated editor” as oppose to the old editor. I switched the editor back to the old one and I can now see my smileys again :).

Here’s how to change back to the old editor.

1. Go to Settings>>Basic
2. Scroll down till you see the Global settings. Make sure the “Old Editor” is selected and Save

Bill’s next issue was how to get his Monthly Top Commenter widget working on his JS-Kit enabled blog. Now the reason why I chose JS-Kit is because of it’s synchronizing feature with blogger commenting system which basically means, whatever comments you made on JS-Kit, that comment is copied to blogger comments. This also means in the event you decide that you want to revert back to blogger commenting system, you can do so easily and STILL retain ALL your comments :)

Now to make sure that synchronizing feature works for you, make sure, in your blogger commenting system, you DO NOT limit comments to Registered Users only. This is because the JSKit commenting system will over-ride whatever settings you have stated and still lets non-registered users comments. Now when that happens, it would register that user as the blog owner so although you see the different commenters in JSKit, in actual fact, the comments that is being copied over to blogger commenting system will show YOU as the commenter HENCE, the Top Commenter Widget (which has filtered your name out) would NEVER EVER show up as it only has you as the commenter! So once I changed the option “Only Registered Users” to “Anyone” can comment, Bill now has a working Monthly Top Commenter Widget!

Shopping for Me?

As much as I don’t feel like socializing this weekend, what with this stupid ulcers in my mouth, I have a friend’s birthday event to attend to. I still can’t think of any unique gifts for her yet so I’m letting my fingers do the walking again.

How To Moderate First Time Commenter using JSKit

We all love comments, be it on a weight loss pills post or a blogging tutorial post, but sometimes we get undesirable commenters that only comment to get backlink (especially if your blog is dofollow) and sometimes we get commenters who do nothing but send negative comments that simply spoils our day. We all understand that each of us have our own opinions and thoughts but leave constructive comments NOT abusive ones.

So with that in mind, most blog owners are resorting to moderation. As much as that helps, I feel it totally limits the interactiveness of the blog especially if it is a hot topic to discuss. By the time the blog owner actually moderates the comments on that post, the heated subject is already lukewarm.

For me, I’m combating the spam and negative comments too and I know these are comments most likely coming from first time commenters, Since I am using JS-Kit on my blogs, I’m using their moderation setting “Premoderation for new users” which means, for new commenters, their comments are on hold until I approve them and this would go on for 5 comments, which I think is great, because you never knew if they turn to trolls after the first comment! Lol!

Edited: I just realised that by doing this all my commenters are considered new by the system, to approve previous users, you can go to Moderation and scroll through your comments/commenters there, then you can Approve User and that would let their comments through!

Once You're 40

Singapore has this program whereby the moment you reach 40 of age, the government would fully subsidize you to go through a heath screening program, namely test for obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and cervical cancer. I was going to do it the last time I went back but I was so pressed for time so I will plan one when I return on my next trip.

The test that I really would like to take is the high cholesterol one as I really love my red meat, cheese and fatty food. I’m planning to reduce cholesterol intake but I guess if I know what my level is, I’ll be more motivated so to speak..heheh

How to Get 365 Days Validity On Digi Prepaid

I don’t use my mobile phone that often. In fact I use it more more like a camera and video recorder than a phone really. So I use a prepaid number so I can save on the monthly subscription. One thing that really irks me is when my airtime expired even though I still have like RM20 in my account because this means I am only limited to incoming calls and since I am one who likes to have everything in ready mode I always top up my account which means I would top up RM30 each time for another month validity. There was once instance I had like RM100 in my account!

Anyway, I recently found out a way I can have 356 days validity on my Digi prepaid card using either Super Long Life Option. Super Long Life™ is a feature where you can extend your talktime validity to 1 year for just RM30

Here’s how:

1. Make sure you have more than RM35 in your prepaid account.
2. Key in *128*1#
3. Key in 7 for Talktime Services
4. Select 3 for Super Long Life and Press [CALL]
5. You will receive a confirmation SMS with your new credit balance
6. The system would deduct RM30 from your account and extend your airtime validity to 365 days
7. So from now you only need to topup whenever you feel you need the credit and not because your airtime expired.
8. Each top up after this will expire based on the Super Long Life validity date

Update: *This feature is available for DiGi® Best Prepaid subscribers only. Check your plan by following these steps:

1. Dial *128*1#
2. Wait for the prompt and type 4 and Send
3. The system will reply with your Call plan
4. If you are not a DiGi® Best Prepaid subscriber, the system will prompt if you want to change your plan
5. Follow instructions

I love things that makes me worry less and contribute to an acnefree me!

Template Gone Screwy..

Something has gotten screwy with my template and I don’t have time to troubleshoot what it is! For some reason the pagination link that is supposed to be at the bottom is showing at the top. How To Add EntreCard Top 5 Dropper on Your Blog

I was going to write about hemorrhoids treatment today..lol.. but thought perhaps another topic might be more appealing.. heheh

Since the popular program Dropholic has closed down, I’ve wanted to find a replacement widget. However, due to work commitment, I had to put it on the backburner. Anyway, here is a simple way you can get your own Top Dropper listing without any fuss and as easy as 1, 2, 3.

All you need to do is…

1. Login into your EntreCard Account
2. Now go to “Statistics” menu
3. Scroll down to the “Dropper” tables. Here you can see the little RSS sign near to the “Top Card Dropper” as shown below
4. Just right-click on that RSS and click on “Copy Link Location” . Save that link on notepad
5. Once you are login into your blogger account, go to the “Layout” and “Add a Gadget”.
6. Choose Feed.
7. Now enter the RSS address you copied to your notepad in the “Feed URL” Box and click “Continue”
8. You’re done! No fuss right?
9. Just a note.. in blogs hosted on Blogspot, we can only add 5 listings.. but if you use wordpress for instance, I believe you can add 10 lists :)

LadyJava's Doing Flash Banner

I’ve recently dabbled with “flash” after I got a request from a client of mine whose site I am maintaining. All I can say is I LOVE it! lol! It was a challenge but it was fun pushing myself to see what else I can add to my skillset and portfolio. Good thing I was enjoying myself because it really cuts down the stress level (as I really break out when I’m stressed) and so I didn’t need to visit acnetreatmentgel.org to see what latest acne treatment there was.

Using SEO To Boost Traffic

Anyone doing internet marketing (like me) knows the importance of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Done properly and with proper keywords, your site or blog could land on the first few pages of say a “Google” search as oppose to being buried on the 10th or 11th pages where no one hardly ever looks.

For instance, I’ve optimized my blog makeover site so much so that whenever people were to look for the term “blog makeover”, my site appears at number four on the first page of Google search. Not bad eh?

I Need Peace

I’ve never had any sleeping problem. I don’t need any natural sleep aids and even a cup of coffee can’t keep me awake if I really want to sleep. I’m not sure why I am immune to coffee as I only started taking it when I started working at 21. Was more of a tea drinker before, so go figure right?

Azwaj always says that although I am a discipline sleeper in the sense that I would sleep on my side and not move at all all night, when I do move, my arms always go flaying all over the place and in most cases, all over his face! lol!

Anyways, it seems according to blogthings, the way I sleep, which is on my side, means I need peace…

I Need to Go HOME

I’m swamped!.. I’m swamped and I’m drowning..

There’s just too many things to do and learn and enjoy. I want to do everything but don’t have the ability to do them because of time constraints and other commitments. I need to go home and rest.. but wait.. I am HOME (the drawback of working from home).. so perhaps when all these is done, I’ll check out some Orlando vacation packages and go “HOME” for some rest. Am I making sense?
