Eating Weekend

This weekend is an eating weekend. It started with mommy cooking crabs and cockles upon my arrival. I then had my 25th high school reunion dinner yesterday and later tonight we have a seafood dinner treat from my niece, who just got her first paycheck. Wow, at the rate I’m eating, I definitely need a session of colon cleansing when I get home next week.

So if I forget, can someone please remind me?

Excited

I’m looking forward to my high school reunion this evening. Arrangements have been made and I’ll be going with two of my former classmates. I’m excited to say to say the least and if I had one of those pulse oximeters, I’d take my pulse and document it just to show you how excited I am.. lol!

I heard the headcount is around 40 people so that is a great many friends to catch up with. Am I ready? You betcha!

Random Thoughts

I just finished preparing spaghetti sauce for Azwaj dearest so that he can reheat them in my one week absence. He tends to get very lazy to eat when I’m not around and this would make sure he has something on standby at home whenever he does feels like eating.

Though at first this trip was not planned, I’m beginning to think it is a great idea now as it also coincide with my high school reunion. I’ve been busy on facebook checking to see who’s going and I must say I’m getting excited to meet my former schoolmates that I’ve not not seen for over two decades! I understand some of them has children who are already in their twenties.. OMG! Talk about being old! lol!

I still need to pack my bag but not before checking out some Novelties items for a client of mine. She is preparing for her own company’s official opening in August and need some promotional items ideas to make sure that her guest have something to remember the night by. I read here that door gifts always makes an impression and the more unique it is, the better for the guest and the value of promo gifts here should never be underestimated. I know I value doorgifts and most other people do too.

So, that being said, before I pack and take some time to prepare for my trip, I take this opportunity to wish my readers who celebrates Vesak Day, a happy and joyous celebration for you and your loved ones!

To Go or Not To Go?

I was busy checking my credit reports when I saw a message from my former secondary school classmate on facebook. It was about  our school 25th reunion on 29th May at the school premises. To say the least, I’m excited for sure and since it’s still early, I can still decide if I wanted to go or not.

The thing is, I’ve no plans to go back to Singapore yet due to my workload, but this might just be the trigger for me to start planning a trip back eh? Besides by last trip was in late January and I’m already missing mommy..

Mood Stone

Ever you ever heard of the mood stone? It seems that this stone can detect the way you are feeling. So if you were wearing one and you’re feeling happy, perhaps because that phentermine diet pill you’re taking is working, then it would turn dark blue. However it it’s not working fast enough so that you can’t fit into that little black dress that want to wear for that high school reunion, then it would turn grey!

Sleep is Good

I thrive on stress but sometimes a little too much stress can be hazardous to the health. Although I don’t have an acne attack which would need me to run for the first acne scar removal cream, I do get easily susceptible to the common cold which would cause me go about with a block nose for several days just like now.

The best solution for me would be to drop everything, get my eight hours of sleep, minimum, and I would be fine the next day. A luxury these days for sure but something I desperately need.

My Meager Perfume Collection

I don’t collect many stuff and whatever stuff I do collect, I can never totally commit. For example, I wanted to start my own collection of fridge magnet but that never really kicked off. Then I wanted to collect keychains and I only got passed Singapore.LOL!.. So I gave up.  Besides, I’m already too old to start to collect anything and who am I gonna pass it to anyway, when I’m gone that it..

Looking back, even in my younger days, I’ve never been much of a collector. Whenever I travel, I never really look out for any souvenir to buy. Whatever I do buy would usually be stuff that I use, like clothes for instance. I never even glance at fridge magnets or even keychains!

I would say, the only real “collection” that I have would be my perfume collection which consist of a few bottles of  calvin klein fragrances and some christian dior fragrances. Even that is meager if you compare it to my BFF, Marzie, who has a whole display section in her home office, consisting of a variety of miniature colognes and perfumes . Her collection alone would cause me to hide my head in shame.. lol!

Freelancing is the Best

One thing I love about working as my own boss is the awesome working hours. I can work whenever and however long, or short, I wanted without having a boss looking down at my shoulders. Working as a freelancer also means that I can take time off whenever I want without having to worry that I will lose my employment when I come back. Worst case scenario, I lose a client or two in the process but hey .. life is short and you can’t work all the time.

Having said that, I really appreciate all my clients who have been so understanding through my hard times in April. They were supportive and were willing to wait for me even I told them I will have to take time off indefinitely when my mother-in-law passed away followed by the passing of one of my fur-kids. I will forever remember your kindness.

A Nice Corner for Azwaj

It was a busy labour day for us. We decided that we’re gonna change the layout of our home office so that A could have a little area where he can place his amplifier and guitars so that he can play with it a lot more. We took out some rugs that we had in the store room and created a nice little corner for him underneath the window. The corner is not looking nice enough for pictures but it’s nice enough for A to sit on the floor, hook up his electric guitar to the amplifier and strum away.

Nice to see my A’s spirit lifting since his mother’s passing :).
