Hooked on Chinta

I got addicted watching this TV show daily drama called CHINTA when my mom was here last week. She was the one that started watching the show but in the end got me hooked watching it with her each day on TV3 from Monday to Thursdays, 6.30 to 7.40pm. The story revolves around Chinta, a young girl from the village who was raped by an old man who thought that would ease him to marry her. Chinta then escaped and ran off the city. She became a model and later a high class prostitute. Anyway, it is now the 20th out of a 28th episode drama and it’s getting more interesting by the day. Oh yeah, you can watch the show online too, which I’m doing as there are less advertisements and I can watch it anytime as oppose to the time slot on tv.

Fasha Sandha plays the main character, Chinta and Adi Putra plays the hero of the show. Enjoy!

I Need My Momentum Back

It is so hard to get back to my momentum of eating oats again after mommy’s visit and my latest visit to Singapore. I’ve been eating three meals a day and it feels such a torture to go back to just eating oats. lol!.. I seriously got to learn more stuff on losing weight and keep those weight off. This fluctuations in meal time must not be good for the body :( . I’m just worried my body might think it need to reserve food or something and stop burning fat at all. That would be disastrous for sure!

Wedding in Singapore

Today’s wedding was awesome. It was so great to see all the familiar faces of aunts and cousins and the not so familiar faces of nieces and nephews. Can’t believe that some of my cousins are already grandma and grandma, making me indirectly a grandma too!.. OMG! Time to slap on that wrinkle cream.. lol!

I Want My PR Back!

I am drawing a blank currently on how to increase PR for this blog. It has dropped to PR0 over the last few days and I suspect it’s because of the change of url in September causing all existing backlinks to LJL to be gone. Expensive Lesson

So I am back to cleaning again and what do I find? One side of my diamond stud earrings that I had for like over 10years. I totally love that earing and was devastated when one of them fell into the wash basin when I was removing them one night. Argh.. Expensive lesson to learn to NEVER remove earing in the bathroom. oh well.. seems like forever since I’ve worn a pair of earing now, I think even the holes have closed up!

Blackheads!

I try to be discipline and remove the nose blackheads monthly. I just use those nose strips from the pharmacy and although it won’t remove them 100%, I am quite satisfied with the result. After all, the only time in my lifetime that I had a facial they didn’t remove it 100% either and I was like SGD80 lighter in my purse.

So anyway, I found this video on youtube and thought this was really cool.. I wonder where I can find this glue though.

When The Time is Right

One of the conversations that I always have with my mom is about when she would ultimately live here with me in Kuala Lumpur. I know that she is hesitant because she would lose all her independence and that is something that she is used to. I have a feeling that she’s afraid that she too would be bored out of her mind staying here with me. I mean two weeks of relaxing is alright but to forever with “resting” I know I would go crazy too. As such I never really pester her to move here. The ball is totally in her court and the door is always open. I even got a spare room here all prepared for her and she can stay here for as long or as short a time she likes.

So for now I am content to have her spending some time here with us. I’m even thinking of getting perhaps some kind of cheap webcams so that she can go on skype and chat with someone that is very dear to her overseas. If only I was in the States, those coupons for Home Depot would surely come handy for me to get some Savings. lol!

Oh well, time to go shopping and who does not love shopping?

Remembering

When I was growing up, I used to remember my parents always brought me and my brother to the botanical gardens. I remember running around the pond area and looking at the pond plants. There was a huge water fountain in the middle of the pond that I remember I always watched it in glee as it shoots it’s water up at intervals. I remember the swans, I remember the flowers and most of all I remember playing “catch me” with my late-daddy. Ah… the good ol times. I miss those times and most of all I miss daddy.

For Love Sake

Rest In Peace Mama

When my late mother-in-law contracted cancer and eventually became bed-ridden during the last few months of her life, my father-in-law, tried as much as possible to make her very comfortable. He bought her a wheelchair, got her one of those hospital beds, a privacy screen so that we could change her in private when she had guests and even a machine that sucks out the phlegm/liquid from her lungs so she can breath easy. All those equipments were really pricey but for Mama’s comfort, Abah didn’t bat an eyelid. I think that if Mama suffered from a heart condition, Abah would have even gotten her one of those  ecg machines as well.

It’s now six months already since her passing. Abah has not stopped visiting her grave and has not missed out a day of sending her prayers. We all miss her. Rest in Peace Mama…

Pressie for Mommy

Mommy’s birthday is on the 21st October and she has decided to celebrate it with us here in KL Yeay! We plan to have a special lunch at this Indonesian restaurant that is really nice and hopes she likes it too. Don’t know what to get her though. Perhaps some form of personalized gifts but I got to put on my thinking caps first. I’m thinking that I might bring her shopping, let her pick something she likes and pay for it and ask her to consider that as a birthday pressie.. hehah.. sounds like a plan?

Catching up with Boldie

I am currently watching back episodes of the Bold and the Beautiful reaching up to January 2010 and let me just tell you, the plot thickens all the time with this show. Yeah yeah, I know, some of you are about to puke right now but hey I like it and call it one of my vice.. lol! Anyway since some of you (yeah GP that you) are not up to speed with the show, I will not put up any spoilers here .

However, I do want to say that it is sad that some of the characters in the show, a beautiful woman and a semi good looking guy were not able to realize that they could potentially make a great couple.  Good thing for them, they both enrolled in a few top dating sites just like Match and their profile were matched online.  So imagine their surprise when they met and realized that they have things in common. Suffice to say, they ended up married!

Now I’m not saying that all you single and looking people out there immediately sign up for an online dating service but I am saying to have your mind and options open. If you are leaning towards this kind of service, read up on the reviews of the dating site in questions for example, Match dating site review is awesome. The site offers a whole host of services that other dating sites don’t offer.

Smile Saturday: Spaghetti

This is hilarious. I guess served the guy right eh? :lol:

For 2 years, a man was having an affair with an Italian woman.

One night, she confided in him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he agreed to pay her a large sum of money if she would go to Italy to secretly have the child. If she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18.

She agreed but asked how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discrete, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and write ‘Spaghetti’ on the back. He would then arrange for the child support payments to begin.

One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife.

‘Honey,’ she said, ‘you received a very strange post card today.’

‘Oh, just give it to me, and I’ll explain it later,’ he said.

The wife obeyed and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted.

On the card was written:

Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti.

Three with meatballs, two without.

Send extra sauce.

Jeans oh Jeans

On item missing in my closet is a pair of jeans. No, let me rephase that, one item missing in my closet is pair of jeans that FIT! lol! It’s been so long since I’ve put on a pair that I’ve forgotten how comfortable one feels. Though I’ve never really been a tshirt, jeans kinda girl, I always enjoy wearing a pair with a nice top on casual friday to work. Somehow wearing heels with jeans always make me feel sexy. hahah.. So with that in mind, the next item on my clothes shopping spree would be a pair of jeans. Just check out the fit of of these rocawear jeans. Woot… now what woman would not feel sexy in these?

Decade-ly Gifts

As a lot of you know, this year me and A celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. It seems so surreal as it sure doesn’t feel like 10 years. The details of our wedding are still fresh in my mind like it just happened recently. In fact I still have my dowry still intact the way it was given to me 10years ago!

Since this year marks a milestone in our marriage, I’m thinking I would break our “no-gift” tradition by perhaps surprising Azwaj with some 10th wedding anniversary gifts . I don’t really know what would make an awesome 10th anniversary gifts but I know I would want something unique to mark the occasion.  So while looking for ideas, I found this great site that offers some suggestions. Here’s what I’m thinking:

1. A nice heart paperweight that he could use to keep his papers in place.  Each time he sees it, he’s reminded of our love

2. A photo frame that has a first picture of us taken as husband and wife or

3. A flirty apron that I could wear (with nothing else) while cooking a special meal for him (lol)

Which do you think he would like? Suggestions?
