What A Scene

Saturday is a “No-Plastic” day in most supermarkets here in Kuala Lumpur.. or..wait.. is it Selangor? I always get confuse between these two although I’ve been living here in Malaysia for 10years.. simply because I can be considered as living in both areas.

Last Saturday also happened be our grocery shopping day and thank goodness we brought our own shopping bag as each plastic bag that the supermarket issued out would have cost us 20cents extra. That might seemed like a small amount to pay for one bag but imagine if you have 10bags! That is easily RM2 of unnecessary charge.

Guess, which one she bought? lol!

Anyway, there was a lady that was buying a sexy lingerie and forgot to bring her own shopping bag,  She made a big scene as she had to pay for the additional 20cents. Because of that everyone looked and because of the item that she was buying, people started whispering all around. Narrow minded, yes, and totally unnecessary. If I were her, I would have just paid the 20cents or just stuff the item in my handbag after paying the bill. Some people!

Music Monday #122: Don't Let Me Get Me (Pink)

It was a cool rainy night. I was going through some business card printing company to choose from when suddenly there was a huge explosion of thunder that set off an alarm in one of the cars downstairs. The security alarm was blaring and I’m not sure what happened to the owner but obviously the noise was getting on my nerves.

So I switched on my speakers and decided to just go through my MP3 folder on my desktop instead. It wasn’t bad at all. I had some pretty awesome songs in there.. and one of them that got both me and Azwaj singing along was this song. Well I was singing… Azwaj was just banging his head with the guitar solo part.. lol!

Use One Leg

Ever since I’ve gained these additional kilos, I’ve been comtemplating looking for safe diet pills that work. I’m one of those impatient persons that want immediate results. I know it’s bad to take short cuts but I reckon when you’re desperate, anything goes right? In the meantime, I am avoiding the weighing machine like the plague and if I do weigh myself, perhaps I should just one one leg? lol!

Nap Time

I am yawning away as I’m writing this post and I have no idea why. I just woke up at 10am after an eight hour sleep and I am still feeling sleepy. Perhaps it’s time for cat nap again. After all Azwaj is not around and a power cat nap can really help suppress this desire to eat. Perhaps I seriously need to take adapexin for this food craving :(

Game Wednesday #1

I’m gonna start having a new segment here at LadyJava’s Lounge on Wednesdays that I shall name Game Wednesday. I’m back after a week in Singapore and as much as I’ve enjoyed my stay back in my homeland and visiting my mom and checking out her new food stall, I must say it’s good to be home and in my baby’s arms! There ain’t any better natural sleep aids then to just cuddle up with my man and “BREATHE” in everything I love and that is all him.

Blessing In Disguise

I took the usual coach back to Singapore on 10th January. It was a full ride and we left on time. As usual, since it’s a non-stop coach, I set myself up for a nice nap. I got my Pashmina out, pull the curtains and shut my eyes. I woke up to the sound of something banging about 2hours later. Then the coach moved to the side, the engine stopped and both drivers left the coach. Everyone, who was asleep then woke up too and some even left the coach to see what was the matter. It seemed like we were waiting forever. If jewelry making was my hobby and I had some jewelry making tools, I think I could have come up with something nice already.

After about 45minutes, the drivers decided that it was time to start putting the passengers on another coach. Apparently there was something wrong with the radiator and they could not do anything to it.

Some other coaches stopped after being hailed by the drivers but most of them had only Johor as their final destination. So we had to wait about 20minutes or so when finally another coach heading to Singapore stopped. However, even then it could only take half of the passengers and me travelling single managed to secure a seat. The plus side was that the other coach had more comfortable seats and in-coach entertainment. A blessing in disguise indeed!

Music Monday #120: Bukan Aku Tak Cinta (Salim Iklim)

I don’t listen to Malay songs that much but when I do I simply love those that touch me to the core, sad songs that is so heart wrenching that you feel you want to just roll into a ball and die.. lol! hehhe. yeah.. those kind of songs.. A calls it sappy song that makes him want to puke but then again to each it’s own, right?

This is one such song. This is from Salim. I just love his manly voice which makes the song all the more believable.. The song is in Malay but I believe music is a universal language.. so enjoy and Happy Music Monday all!

Knocking Myself

I feel really frustrated at myself right now because I’ve procrastinated in sending my laptop, Miss Fly, to the service center to be repaired. She has been down since November and I’ve been taking it easy since I have my desktop to work on. And now that I’m going back to Singapore, I am, yet again, without my travelling companion. I could so knock myself in the head right now! Argh.. how I wished I could turn back time!

I have a good mind to just buy one of those toshiba netbooks that I’ve seen at the store just now, but I talked myself out of it because once I have Miss Fly back, what am I gonna do with another laptop? I may as well just save up and get me that mobile phone I’m dreaming of instead..

Lovely Trinkets

As the new year celebration weaned off and people are getting back to the daily routine of life, same goes over here in my household. We had something on today that took up the whole morning but because I only slept at 4am last night, I was dead tired by the time I arrived home and all I wanted to do was just wash up and head on back to bed.
