I Wished I Had My Music

I had to reformat my phone yesterday and after doing all the re-installation, I forgot to add fav songs to my music directory. That turned out to be a grave error and I was pulling hair while in my coach from KL to Singapore earlier today.

As the story goes, there was this Singaporean guy who had taken a fancy to the girl sitting behind me and apparently they got to talking when the coach stopped for toilet break at one of the RNR stop. So while the first 2hours was bliss for me to catch up on my sleepless night the day before, the rest of the journey was torture as he tried to find more about this girl who apparently is a student from Myanmar and studying in Singapore. I can’t help but overheard everything since he was practically leaning towards my side of the coach. From where the girl went to school, to where she did part time job, I even now know when her birthday is. OMG he even performed magic trick for her by the time we were approaching the Malaysian immigration! If only I had my mp3s I could have been enjoying some Dynasty Drums tunes than to hear his babbling in very very bad English and equally unattractive voice :(.. I mean instead of just saying “toilet break” he tried to impressed the girl, whose English is no better, with “oh we’re stopping to answer the call of nature”.. O…M… G!!

Anyway, tomorrow will be a long day so I shall take my leave and answer the call of the bed.. lol!

Cats for Decor

When you have cats in the house like me, you don’t really need any floral arrangement on the coffee table because this is what happens most time when my kitties are in the living room.

 

They love to hangout wherever we are and most time they just loiter on our feet while some will sleep on the coffee table or the tv.  So cats for decor anyone?

Waiting for that Paycheck

It’s Friday again and can you believe it’s the last Friday of the month?! I know it’s pretty much payday for most of you so yeay for you but sometimes payday just doesn’t come soon enough right? This is especially so when some kind emergency crop up in the middle of the month and you don’t have anywhere to go to dig out that extra cash. Well I reckon you could go to your best friend for that short term cash or you could just consider a payday lending service and spare your best friend the guilt feeling of turning you down just coz she is already tightening her own belt to wait till her own payday.

Anyway, we are waiting for our own paycheck to come in to go get a new microwave oven that suddenly stopped working last night just as I was trying to reheat dinner. Lucky for us payday comes early this month :)

I’m not feeling too well. My throat hurts making swallowing torture. I have ulcers in my mouth and my body ache all over. I slept most of the day Sunday and it was definitely not a fun weekend. Hoping for a better week though.. Happy MM everyone.

Light Problems

One of the things I love is a brightly lit room. I can’t stand dark room as it makes the room feel so stuffy and small. So if you look at my work area, you’ll find wall lighting on the wall in front of me as well as a make shift fluorescent light that Azwaj placed on the filing cabinet behind me. I also have a standby desk lamp beside me in case I need the extra lighting when I do my graphics work.

Anyway, talking about lighting, we’ve been having a little lighting problem in our home. First, we need to get a replacement sensor lights for the kitty room as the last one that we used is no longer working. The kitties don’t really mind being in the dark but it makes it difficult for me to peep in the room in the middle of the night to see what they are doing.. lol! Perhaps we should consider one of those outdoor wall sconces to place permanently in the kitty room. I’m not sure if we can use of those energy saving bulbs in them but am sure we can find one that will suit our purpose.

Another area that we need to check the lighting on is the kitchen. We have two sets of lightings in there right now but one of them is misbehaving. Azwaj tried changing the fuse and the bulb but it keeps  flickering on and off intermittently each time I am in the kitchen. I feel like I’m in a discotheque or something.. lol.

Music Monday #177: One Moment in Time (Whitney Houston)

The music industry lost a great entertainer on 11th February 2012. Whitney Houston passed away at age 48 at the hotel she was staying just moments before she was due to perform at Clive Davis’s annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The cause of death is still unknown for now but does it really matter? Rest in peace Whitney Houston and condolence to her family.

The Worst Cook In America

The Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America returns for a third season with two-time undefeated series champion Anne Burrell challenged by superstar chef Bobby Flay on Sunday, February 12th at 9pm ET/PT. The show which sees Anne going against Bobby will see each leading a team of eight “recruits” in a eight-week boot camp which will hopefully transform these terrible cook to one competent chef.

I, personally can’t wait to see the “cooks”, all of whom, were each nominated by family and friends for their atrocious cooking skills to show off what they got to both Anne and Bobby. I bet we will see some stressful times but fun times as well. I mean these are American’s worst cook right? lol!

“After two undefeated seasons of Worst Cooks in America, I’m ready for a third,” said Burrell. “Going against Bobby Flay takes the challenge to another level, but I’m ready to whip these contestants into shape and the winner is sure to be from Team Burrell.”

“Anne may have had some early victories in past seasons, but this show is ready for a change and I’m going to bring it,” said Flay. “I’ll work my team until they can chop, filet and grill with the best of them

A $25,000 grand prize will be awarded to the winning contestant who achieves the most progress and best performance, in addition to bragging rights and victory for their culinary mentor.

Lovely Earings

Is it really Sunday already? Oh my my, what a busy week it has been with me rushing my work out earlier this week, travelling back to my hometown on Thursday, vising with relatives, attending a wedding earlier today and catching up with friends. .. and of course shopping.. not for any diamond necklace mind you but I did buy this lovely piece of earing.. isn’t it lovely?
