Smile Saturday: The Difference between Complete and Finished

Received in my email today…

No dictionary has been able to adequately explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED. However, in a recent linguistic conference held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world: Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese, was the clear winner.
His final challenge was this: Some say there is no difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED. Please explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand.

Here is his astute answer:
“When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. But, when you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED. And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED!”

His answer was received with a standing ovation lasting over 5 minutes and it entitled him to receive an invitation to dine with the Queen, who decided to call him after the contest. He won a trip to travel around the world in style and a case of 25 year old Eldorado rum for his answer.

Condolence for Jackie and Family

It is sad when a family passed away due to illness but it is even more sad when it is unexpected when it comes in the form of an accident. No words of goodbye and no proper closure.. My heart goes out to Jackie and her family on their loss of Walter’s (Jackie’s) husband sons, Mark and David..

I am so sorry for your loss Jackie and family. My prayers are with  you.. May God Bless their soul.. Rest in peace

I Need Space

I am doing so much work for prints now that I am running out of disk space to store my stuff… so for my next desktop or laptop I’m so gonna need like tera upon tera of hard disk space…lol.. I am looking into the san storage system but at this point any system will do. I know I can burn my stuff on dvd but I hate the idea of needing to look for those disk when I need them. I want my data handy.

Two More Months

Wow.. it’s November already? There’s only two more month in 2012? OMG! Where am I on my resolution again? Nowhere that’s where.. lol!
