Christmas Star

Adrian, aka, Genie King or also affectionately known to us as GK, just celebrated his 100th post yesterday. It is an important milestone to a blogger although I myself wasn’t aware when I’ve reach mine (eh when is the next milestone?)..lolzz..and ..in conjuction with such a significant number which also coincided with Christmas, GK has awarded a few bloggers with the Christmas Star.. and I am one of them..yey!!!

I'm in Mood for Some Awards

I’ve been awarded with some wonderful awards recently so since it’s a clear night and all (it’s been raining so far) and I’m all alone at home, I figured I’ll go round and check out my awards.

When you type too fast...

You know I love being able to type fast. It’s one of the skill that I’ve always wanted to pick up when I was in school and so when I actually went to take up secretarial studies and was able to pick up the skill, I was so damn happy that now I would not only be able to type fast but also not need to look at the keyboard.

Throughout the years then, that skill was taken for granted. It became automatic like breathing and eating. However, one thing that came out of it was, the faster you type and the faster you think, the more spelling error you make. I tend to miss out in between words. I also tend to misspell “the” and “and”.

I found I was not alone. A few blogger friends of mine have the “problem” as well.. Just take a look at this screencapture..

If that don’t deserve an award, I don’t know what does…hehehhe, ..where before I awarded it to GK for the Best Male Speller Award, this time the winner for the Best Female Speller Award goes to…

An Award Party

I rushed back yesterday upon receiving an invitation to attend an Award Party organized by our very gracious and lovely Trinity. It was grand affair and everyone who’s anyone was going to be there to walk the red carpet. So there’s me there in the corner all decked up in my elegant pale khaki silk gown as this is a Gala Event.

After the “Beautiful Site Award” was given out, came the “BreakOut Blogger Award”, The handsome prince charming, Mr Fong was on stage to present the award. Mr Fong explained what the award is all about..

“This award casts a spotlight on bloggers who are just beginning to draw lotsa attention
— the equivalent of a song with a bullet on Billboard’s Top 100 chart.
Lotsa good posts. Lotsa good buzz.
These bloggers are going places in a hurry.”

And the award went to…… LadyJava…
(applause…heheh)

As I walked up the stage to receive my award, I could not help but stole a smile and an air kiss to Trinity who was sitting at the VIP corner.

Anyway my speech went something like this…

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Firstly I would like to thank the organiser, Ms Trinity who has graciously organise this wonderful evening for all of us. I also would like to say how happy I am that her hubby is feeling better and also a big congratulations on the awards that she has received as well.

As for the award, I once again would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Trinity for putting so much faith in me and my blogs and her well wishes that I make much money and fame soon..;)..and I could not have done it with the support of my hub, family and friends like you

And since I am all decked up with no place to go, I decided to go grab my other awards as well..

First stop was to GK’s where I sense an award is waiting for me (actually he told me in my shoutbox lah..lolz). GK presented me with two awards which is so sweet despite the fact I left him with 3 memes before my trip to SG..heheh (sorry eh GK)..

After watching the Genies collecting and spreading their awards around, I got motivated as well and it being the 1st of the month and all, I decided to follow in their good example :-)

I'm a SuperStar...

I “met” Mariuca when I joined her Genie Magic Carpet Ride earlier this September. We became fast friends after knowing that we both share a common passion – our kity cats. She has three and I have six that we absolutely adore. She’s also a late sleeper as me and we would babble in her shoutbox till the wee morning – that is if our Streamyx connection don’t fail us :(

So it is no wonder that when she went missing for the Hari Raya celebrations and a few more days after that due to Streamyx failure that I missed her and our babble session. Now she’s back and I have someone to chat with again during that lonely “refreshing” session over at PPP.

So Mariuca also known as Marzie who’s also known as Genie Princess or GP, this award that you’ve bestowed upon me is not only appreciated but also highly regarded as I should be the one thanking you for being a friend and a good one at that.

You Make Me Smile Award

It is always nice to make someone smile. It makes my heart glow and makes me smile in the process as well. I guess what they say is true – A smile is contagious and when you smile the whole world smile with you.
