It is sad when a family passed away due to illness but it is even more sad when it is unexpected when it comes in the form of an accident. No words of goodbye and no proper closure.. My heart goes out to Jackie and her family on their loss of Walter’s (Jackie’s) husband sons, Mark and David..

I was looking for a birthday apps so that I make a cake online for my bff’s birthday today so I tested a whole bunch of apps from the market. I found a few but it didn’t do the job and some even had malware, adware and even spyware.. Lucky for me, I have a antispyware apps installed so my phone is well protected.

I can’t remember how I actually got to know Bella.. I reckon it’s was one of those things that was meant to happened. The fact that her mom is also a Singaporean, which makes her half Singaporean, only makes the friendship all the more livelier as she is able to relate to a lot of things that I go through as a Singaporean myself.
Anyway, today is her birthday and although busy as a bee getting ready for the coming Raya, I didn’t want to miss publishing this special blog entry as a birthday shoutout!

I am so loving my pressies from Emila and Mariuca from the night. I won two of Marzie‘s contest that she had when she went on vacation and Emila‘s gift of her special notebook and her awesome children’s book, “My Mother’s Garden”, really made great souvenirs from the night. I gave out pressies too that night.  Nothing fancy that requires me to take out payday advance loan or anything but I hope everyone enjoyed their little touch of Singapore :)

Yeay! I’ll be meeting my online buddies this Friday and to say I’m excited would be the understatement of the year! lol! I’ve been reminding Azwaj about this date since we, namely Mariuca, Shemah and myself, confirmed the date last month and I’ve continued reminding him simply because I don’t want the date to slip his mind which would mean I would not be able to go! I’ve even reminded him to do any oil change or brake job on his  Acura TL ..oppss I meant his bike,  if necessary, to make sure we have a smooth ride. However, seeing how it almost always rained in the evening these past few nights, we might just have to take a cab instead or risk getting wet along the way, which would be a disaster!
Anyway, we have about 22 people coming for this Friday blogger gathering at the Hard Rock Cafe. A good number if I do say so myself. Oh no I still don’t know what I’m gonna wear!

Today is the birthday of one of the best Virgo-an I I know.. and she is no other than my BFF, Mariuca or as I fondly call her GP. Seems like only yesterday we got to know each other and yak through the night as night owls do and suddenly it’s three years already! My oh my.. time do fly by when you’re in great company :)

I was doing research on loose diamonds and listening to Music Monday songs that was selected by the participants when I found an original singer amongst us. Check out Allena and her guitar and her version of Lenka’s “The Show”. I was blown away. Allena is from the Philippines and the author of several blogs as well!
She also has another entry from the previous MM but I missed that one as I was too busy to make my rounds last week. Let me tell you, I’m glad I didn’t miss her performance this time around :).. Make sure you check her out. Can’t wait to see what she’s singing next week!

I got this in my email account yesterday.. seemingly from Bokjae, that sent all my warning bells haywire. The first thing I did was email GP to find out if she had received the same message and she said she didn’t I went into my facebook to see if anything was going on with Bokjae’s account. There I saw messages from his friends asking about the same email and inquiring about it.
I sort of derived that Bokjae’s gmail might have been hijacked and compromised. I wanted to sms him but it was already midnight so I waited. Then this morning, I got a text message from him saying that indeed his gmail account was hacked and for us to not respond to it.
Here’s the email message…
I’m sorry for this odd request because it might get to you too urgent but it’s because of the situation of things right now, i’m stuck in london with family right now, i came down here on vacation , i was robbed, worse of it is that bags, cash and cards and my cell phone was stolen at GUN POINT, it’s such a crazy experience for me, i need help flying back home, the authorities are not being 100% supportive but the good thing is i still have my passport but dont have enough money to get my flight ticket back home and l need to clear the hotel bills here , please i need you to loan me some money, will refund you as soon as i’m back home, i promise.Get back to me ASAP let me know what to do next

We just came back from a friend’s office and A commented how the room smelleds so nice. M’s reply was that it was to cover up another smell and when asked what smell might that be? He replied smoke, the kind that come from fire. FIRE??
Yeap.. it seems that just yesterday, M was smoking in his office, put out the cigarette in the ashtray and dump the content of the ashtray into his waste paper basket. He then left the office and went downstairs for a cup of coffee. When he was having his cuppa, he remembered that he forgot his keys and went up again. Upon opening the front door he smelled smoke but everything still looked ok at that point. Only when he turned the corner in the direction of his room cum studio he noticed the smoke and as he approached the room found the fire in the waste paper basket that had already melted.
Lucky for M, he arrived in time if not his whole studio would have burnt down along with all his recording equipment! Now he’s thinking of putting up non-smoking posters all around … lol!!

I received Shemah‘s pressie for being Top FC at her blog, sometime in the last week of the fasting month but only got to collect it from the post office last week and what a nice surprise it was it. I love all of it, the little coin purse, the fridge magnet and the creative keychain.. hehe..

I collected my pressies from GP today from the post office. The package arrived on the 17th but since it was the fasting month and with traffic and what not, A said we would only collect it after Raya.. so today was the day!
It was quite suspenseful coz I know GP used the name LadyJava and if the post office requested for identification then I’m in big trouble coz no where in my identification card say “LadyJava”.. heheh.. but everything went smoothly though the man at the post office did look at me strangely when I said my name was LadyJava.. lol!!

We had our very first Raya Makan-Makan (Hari Raya Open House) at our new home today. Fun fun day with relatives and friends and a whole lot of great food (if I do say so myself.. lol!)
