The summer is the perfect occasion for exploring hobbies and interests. So, you need to get out and about and start examining the best hobbies for the summer. If you need a bit of advice and guidance for the ideal summer hobbies, you’ll want to check out my suggestions below.

Camping

If you think about summer hobbies, one of the best ones you might consider is camping. Now, it might have been years since you’ve been camping, or you may never have been. Alternatively, you could be a seasoned camper. Whatever your stance, it’s one of the most fun and fulfilling things you can do in the summer. It’s a wonderful way to experience nature at its finest and have a more stripped back experience. Camping is especially awesome if you have kids you can take because they will view it as some kind of adventure.

Sports

One of the best parts about the summer is how good the weather is. Even if it’s not boiling hot, it will likely be warm and dry. So, it will be the perfect environment for playing some competitive sports. There are so many sports you can play in the summer that the list is endless. Pick something you would play outdoors that you may not be able to enjoy when it’s raining. I would suggest something like football, cricket or tennis would be perfect. You can join a club or just play with friends while you enjoy the warm sunshine.

In the Water

The perfect thing to do when the sun is beating down is to get in the water. You need to look for ways of refreshing yourself and cooling off. Swimming is a great way to do this, but so are water sports. Think about what you can do to get involved more in water sports this summer. You could get a jet ski if you live in the right sort of area. Of course, you’d also need a jet ski repair manual in case of breakdown. You want to be able to use it as much as possible over the summer. So keeping it in full working order is essential.

Barbecue

Okay, I admit, barbecuing may not be a hobby, but it’s certainly fun! And it’s synonymous with summer which is why it makes the list. There’s nothing better than a lovely summer afternoon spent grilling and barbecuing and sipping cold wine. If you have a big enough garden, you might decide you want to have a barbecue at home. Send out an invite on Facebook and enjoy a wonderful summer barbecue the way it should be – with friends. The brilliant thing about barbecuing is that you don’t just have one crack at it. Whenever the weather is nice, you can get it out and use it.

The summer is on its way, and that means you need to think about outdoor hobbies. It’s a great opportunity to make the most of the awesome weather. So, think about what you can do out in the sun and start making a list. There is so much choice, and the goal is just to make the most of the great weather while you can.

Fancy taking up a hobby? With so many hobbies out there it can be hard to choose the one for you. So, I’ve narrowed things down and picked four hobbies I think you should try:

Collect Models And Items
If you’re looking for a simple hobby to enjoy, then collecting models and items is for you! It takes very little effort and is extremely satisfying. There are loads of things you can collect; it depends on what you’re interested in. The popular idea is to collect lots of model replicas of classic vehicles. You can collect scaled down models of iconic British coaches like the Bedford OB and Burlingham Seagull. People like to collect things like this because they bring back memories but also because they’re so detailed and precious. Some people also like to collect coins and stamps from over the years. Collecting models and items is a peaceful hobby, but also an exciting one. You’ve always got that end goal of trying to collect everything you can. It’s very enjoyable!

Play An Instrument
Learning to play an instrument is a classic hobby to try. For centuries, people have been playing music when they’re bored. There’s something so magical about learning to play an instrument properly. You get a real sense of satisfaction from playing a piece of difficult music. Plus, you can even try to write and compose your own music. It’s a thrilling hobby, and you can make it even better by learning how to play multiple instruments! Become a piano pro while also learning how to play the guitar.

Painting & Drawing
For a hobby that will get your creative juices flowing, you should try painting and drawing. It’s such a simple way for you to pass by any spare hours you have. You can draw things wherever you are. If you’re on the train, get out a little sketch pad and let your mind do the rest. Set up a workspace in your house for you to draw and paint. You’re able to create mini masterpieces in your spare time. It’s a wonderful hobby if you want to set your mind free and create cool things. Plus, painting and drawing is very relaxing. A brilliant way to destress while having fun at the same time.

Reading
I’ve saved arguably the most popular hobby for last, reading. Yes, reading is considered a hobby and it’s a great one to have. There are so many ways you can use reading to enhance your life. You only need a spare half an hour to read a few chapters in a thrilling novel. It allows you to escape from reality and put yourself in different worlds. It’s tough to find things that are better than losing yourself in a good book. But, you can also read for knowledge too. Find some books that teach you about new things, you can broaden your mind! Reading can help you improve as a person, as well as entertain you when you’re bored. It’s everything you want in a hobby!

I don’t collect many stuff and whatever stuff I do collect, I can never totally commit. For example, I wanted to start my own collection of fridge magnet but that never really kicked off. Then I wanted to collect keychains and I only got passed Singapore.LOL!.. So I gave up.  Besides, I’m already too old to start to collect anything and who am I gonna pass it to anyway, when I’m gone that it..

Looking back, even in my younger days, I’ve never been much of a collector. Whenever I travel, I never really look out for any souvenir to buy. Whatever I do buy would usually be stuff that I use, like clothes for instance. I never even glance at fridge magnets or even keychains!

I would say, the only real “collection” that I have would be my perfume collection which consist of a few bottles of  calvin klein fragrances and some christian dior fragrances. Even that is meager if you compare it to my BFF, Marzie, who has a whole display section in her home office, consisting of a variety of miniature colognes and perfumes . Her collection alone would cause me to hide my head in shame.. lol!

Anyway, here are some of them. Recognized any?
