I was looking outside my balcony today to rest my eyes from staring at Miss Fly’s screen all day . Gosh it feels good to see the green grass, the clouds, the sky and just the view from the 10th floor. I can see far and wide from the people crossing the road at the street corner to that two ladies pushing their strollers at the park.

I’m going to miss this view when we move. Although Azwaj is not really an apartment kinda guy, I, on the other hand have been living in apartments all my life, so am very comfortable with the lifestyle. But I understand where he’s coming from and my MIL agree with him as well.

Anyway, as I was saying in my previous post, the search is on. I wonder if I should start packing already….

Cheerio…

Azwaj and I were over at his client’s place in TTDI earlier today and after he finished with restoring their hard drive and I finished my voice recording, we all decided to go get a quick supper. As we approached M’s car (this was 1am and the only place that was opened was a tad far hence the drive), we saw this big “sign” on his windscreen. M had parked at the back alley of this restaurant and apparently blocked the door to their gas cylinder and the owner had left the sign to informed him not to do that again next time.

We thought “OK, fair enuff”. Then as he opened the car’s front door, we noticed that the back wheel was flat. It seemed someone had let the air out on purpose. So we thought, Ok this was a further warning on top of the sign to make sure M got the message. Azwaj and M worked on replacing the wheel. We were a bit pissed off but we understand their frustration.

Tyre replaced, we were set. As Azwaj moved to the front of the door to get on the passenger side, he noticed the front rleft wheel had also the air let out. Now we were angry.. what kind of stupid and idiot people were this? Don’t they know that drivers have only one spare?? I would easily say this as vandalism!

I mean if I were the owner, I would want the car removed immediately.. but had M been alone, he would probably had left the car there till morning! Luckily M’s partner was still in the office so his help was enlisted to help bring M and the flat tyre to a nearest petrol station where they could inflate the tyre again, while me and Azwaj waited at that dark alley for them to come back! A two minute car removal now had taken close to one hour!

What an idiot!!!

I was blogging this afternoon when I heard loud voices coming from outside my window. So I put out my “kaypoh” or busybody mode and peered out. I saw this guy (a foreigner I think) was being “bullied” by two taxi drivers. Now I don’t know what transpired between them coz I am on the 10th floor and this happened like all the way below but from what I can make out is the taxi drivers were very upset even as the guy was trying to explain something to him. One of them was actually hitting the guy on the head a few times. What puzzled me what that this guy did not retaliate much less run. And no one intervened as the driver kept on shouting and hitting him.

Then another taxi driver stop his taxi and approached them. He went to the guy and I guessed the guy must have thought he was a friend and started explaining but you know what, this driver, without listening to the end, started hitting the guy on the head too! This was the time the guy must have thought he had no more allies and decided to run.. but even as he was running, the third driver was holding him and was kicking him on the bum. It really looked like he was running on a treadmill or something.. Luckily he managed to break away and ran for his life.. FINALLY!

I was all along asking myself why didn’t this guy just run seeing that he was already outnumbered from the very beginning? If it were me, I would have run like there was no tomorrow whether or not I was right or wrong!

Cheerio…

I love riding on the motorbike. It is the greatest feeling not having to wait in traffic jams but sometimes, these riders can really get on your nerves I tell you. They completely leave their safety in other people’s hand. By that I mean they totally expect people to slow down for them, to give way to them, even when it is so obvious we have the right of way. One thing my hubby told me that makes sense is probably that these people never drive a car before so they don’t understand what on earth are “blind-spots”!

Anyway, we were in our car today (it was pretty dark outside and we did not want to be caught in the rain), when this guy, on a motorcycle of course, just came out of nowhere and you know what he was doing? He was “bottom-uping” from a can of drink while merging into traffic. I guess he must have eyes on his neck or something. We literally got to stop to make sure where he was going before we made our own move. Crazy moron! Can you imagine if he encountered a driver that was not paying a 100% attention to the road??

Still taking a deepppp breath…
