We’ve recently rediscovered our passion for wee hours shopping at Uptown Danau Kota which is about 10 minutes away from where we live. Though the vendors there start operation from 9pm, the place comes alive only after about 11pm. I guess we are not the only night owls around eh. Anyway from clothes to shoes, from phone accessories to home entertainment gadgets which cost as low as RM5 a piece, window shopping will probably turn out to actual shopping leaving your wallet not surprisingly lighter than it was before you come. That being said, do becareful as some of the gadgets might be a bit faulty upon purchase so keep that in mind.

Now you want superior products in entertainment department, then check out out instead places like Guitar Center, cordless microphone, speakers and headphones etc, you’d be spoil for choices and with their 45 days satisfaction guarantee, you’ll have peace of mind for sure with your purchases.

Christmas is coming, so if you’ve got kids the sooner you can prepare, the better. Buying for kids gets harder and harder every year – is it just me, or do they already have everything they could possibly want? If you’re stuck on ideas, I have a few here that I think are really good. Some of them are set to be very popular gifts this year too. Take a look:

A Tablet

A tablet is a really good gift idea for the kids, as there are so many different things you can do with it. You can download books, games, or let them browse the web. It’s really multiple gifts in one! The only downside is that they can be quite expensive, so you might like to look for refurbished models or second hand models. You can buy different tablets depending on age, so make sure you do some research on the most popular tablet by age. This could even be a great gift for any adults you’re buying for.

Books

Books are always a brilliant gift to give, whatever the occasion. I think it’s a particularly good idea to give them to children and get them hooked on good literature as early on as possible! Books will help them to develop their reading skills, as well as communication, vocabulary, and even imagination.

A Game Console

Game consoles can be a wonderful gift, so long as you don’t let your kids spend hours and hours on them. Spending a small amount of time on them can actually help them to develop certain skills, such as problem solving and their reflexes. You can even buy games and consoles designed especially to help them develop. Make sure whatever you buy them is suitable for their age.

A Bike

All kids should own a bike! I have very fond memories of going out on my bike when I was a child, apart from that one time I fell off. Teaching your kids to ride a bike young is a good idea, and it’ll help them to stay fit and healthy. There are so many different types you can get depending on where you plan on taking them. You’ll need a bike to take them out with too. There are bikes designed to be used on rough terrain, and more classic looking bikes like these Shinola bicycles. Make sure you weigh up the pros and cons to find the right style for you.

Girltech Password Journal image source

Girltech Password Journal

The Girltech password journal is a great gift for little girls. I had something similar years ago and loved it! The voice technology is really cool and you encourage her to write down thoughts and feelings, which is another good skill to have.

Lego Star Wars

For any Star Wars fan, you have Lego Star Wars. Lego Star Wars is going to be one of the most popular gifts this year!

A Monster High Doll

Another gift said to be popular, the Monster High Doll. You can get lots of different characters, but I’d get yours soon before they sell out everywhere. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Happy Christmas shopping!

You guys knows what comes after Thanksgiving holiday right? That’s right Black Friday. The most waited for sales of the year when merchants gives ridiculous prices and offers on most of their products. I’ve been receiving tons of offers both as affiliate to promote certain goods and services from fantastic merchants and also as a consumer which makes me itching to bring out my credit card. I’ve been eying some items from the Sterling Leather site, not quite their Dan Post Boots but something else and now anxiously waiting to see if they have any Black Friday offers. Wish me luck!

Happy Shopping all!

For someone who has never celebrated Thanksgiving, terms like Black Friday is an absolutely new word for me until I started blogging and paying more attention to holidays and sales in the world wide web. So for the benefit of people who are like me, let me try to enlightened you as well.. The best definition I have so far is..

Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. The term dates back to at least 1966, although its usage was primarily on the East coast.

So that being said, Black Friday starts early this year for shoppers at Buy dot com. In fact not only are they early, they are offering of up to 70% discount on most items. I don’t know about you but that sounds like a good enough reason to start Christmas shopping early this year.

A DECADE or even just five years ago, I could so see myself wearing these awesome Baby Phat Jackets. I was an avid fan of anything in black and I love the way the colors of the print stands out against the black background here. Wow! If only the jackets were made slightly longer till the a few inches above the knees, I could really go while with these selections.

Nowadays, I try to avoid black because of the extremely hot weather in Malaysia. I can’t stand the heat that the color absorb especially when riding on the bike. Nope, not complaining. Just a lifestyle change. Anyone wants my old wardrobe?

I fell in love with this lovely pair of shoes from Rocawear while checking out their online store today for something totally unrelated. I was looking for some infant roca wear clothing for my sister-in-law.

That was when I saw this beauty in the ladies department. Don’t you think it is simply elegant and sexy? This would be perfect with the Hari Raya clothing that I bought in Singapore on my last trip.

I’m not a big fan of shoes but this one is a looker and I’m really hooked. I’m seriously considering getting it though I’m not sure if they deliver to Malaysia. Hmm..

Excuse me as read their shipping terms and check out what else they have because I thought I saw a nice handbag as well… hehehe

I’m not really an avid fan of pink but I’ve been seeing some very nice items that come in that colour recently like the pink helmet I’ve been eyeing the other day and this particular riding helmet I found while researching information on english saddles. Look how cute it, complete with a little bow ribbon!

I wonder if this cute helmet can be used on the motorbike as well or strictly for riding horses only. gelakguling

I’ve been on the lookout for a while now for a new helmet. You guys know how much I enjoy my motorcycle rides so the right kind of helmet is essential for that fast zip in and zip out on the road. My current helmet is over four years old already (the age of the bike as well) and I think it’s time for a change. The lock is always stuck and sometimes when I take off the helmet, it will totally mess up my lovely head gear because the inside lining is coming off too..:(

Anyway, I found the best motorcyle helmet for women online today and here is it is. Isn’t it awesome? It’s pink, its pretty, it’s feminine and at the same time light weight as well without compromising safety. I always say, it’s safety first, but if style and grace are included together, I say.. bring it on!!

It’s slightly on the high side but I’m totally worth it… hehe

Now that my internet connection is much better and behaving itself nicely, I am more settled and less agitated and thus can continue to be the nice blogger that I am. I have since managed to moderate my comments, reply to them and am now happily commenting away at other blogger’s entries. Ahhh this should be the way everyday! Oh I hope I’m not jinxing it by praising it too much though.. lolz!!

Anyway, while surfing today, I found some really nice Kids Bedroom furniture that I absolutely fell in love with. I did not have the luxury of having my own bedroom when I was growing up but I would have loved to have a bed just like the one in the picture. A girl can really be made to feel like a princess waking up in this bed. I can just imagine my ladies-in-waiting carrying out all my whimsical desires and orders. And of course, don’t forget the breakfast in bed bit! Lolz!

This site also carries a variety of Kids Desk and Wooden Childrens Furniture that are really affordable, durable and practical. The selections are endless and you’d be spoilt for choice, I’m sure, if you are indeed looking for children’s furniture.

Check this out.. how cute is this?

Through no fault of mine or even Miss Fly’s, I have not been able to comment on anyone blogs or reply to comments made on my own blogs. This is because I would get this “WHITE” blank page that seems to have a life of it’s own everytime I hit the comment link. I am almost afraid to watch it for long for fear of some monster coming out and scaring me in the process.

Sigh! See how ridiculous I’m sounding right now? The big ol’ internet has got me and making me crazy from going cold turkey without proper connection and I’m going bald soon I swear :(

Anyway, perhaps now is a great time to go out and see the world out there. Perhaps I’ve been sitting on this chair too long and this is it’s way of telling me to get off my bum and do some exercise or something. I need to go out and get some customized baby gifts soon for a friend anyway. There’s this place that I found that can do personalized new baby gifts and they are not bad at all.

I guess this internet connection flaw is a good thing, otherwise I would have just goggled the words personalized gifts for baby and never get out from this room!

See ya…

After ten years of marriage, a few miscarriages, a few failed IVF, one of my best friends in Singapore finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday. I was estactic for her when she wrote me nine months ago that she was pregnant and even more so now that I got her hubby’s sms this morning that she had given birth. I was hoping she would give birth when I was in Singapore late last month but alas we can’t control such events can we? Whatever it is, I am so thankful that everything went great for her and the baby.

So now to find her some perfect baby gifts and since I can’t be there to deliver them personally, I was thinking of buying something online and getting them to send it to her directly in Singapore.

As I was looking at some online store, I stumbled upon this site that had Diaper Cakes. That definitely tweaked my interest but little did I imagine that I would be looking at so many unique baby gifts arranged so creatively. It’s like looking at a cake made of diaper, literally. Don’t you agree? I think they would even make great Baby Shower Gifts!

I’m still trying to see if they deliver to Singapore though. I guess I just have to keep looking for that perfect gift if they don’t, so see you guys later!

We finally got our new vacuum cleaner yesterday. I’m telling you it looks funky. It has a spout like an airplane nozzle that can be twisted and cranked so that we can keep the filter clean. It is bagless which means we save ourselves from buying those paper bags that we throw out anyway. So environmentally concerned, that’s what we are sengihnampakgigi. It also has a suction power of 1500W so it’s really very very strong to suck out corners for those cat furs and yet surprisingly quiet. Maybe now my house can look as nice and clean as the Hilton Head rentals.

See how Aggie is checking out the new vacuum cleaner? She’s probably thinking “hmm.. when is mommy is gonna clean me with this beauty?”.. heheh..Oh did I tell you guys she loved being vacuumed. I’ll post about it soon at my cat blog, in case any one is interested siul

Roxy!.. make sure you don’t miss that episode eh…lolzz..kenyit!

Ok folks, off to the inlaws now.. be back later tonight. Catch you guys soon babai

We were babysitting for my SIL a few years back. Our nephew at that time was about 4years old. We got a room ready for him and we persuaded him to sleep on his own. Azri, although a bit reluctant, was up to it, after seeing how bright and cheery the room was. We also had his toys around him so I guess he was very comfortable. What he did not know was that we were peeking at him through one of the windows. He actually looked sad but he did sleep on his own that night.

Then around 4am, there was a knock on our door. It was Azri asking us if it was already day. We told him that it was still early. It was then that he requested to sleep with us. We can’t say no, can we, after the effort he put up the night before? He crawled onto our bed and slept till 8am.

How I wished we had one of this Teach Me Time Clock for Azri then. It could teach him the time and would tell him what time to get up from bed. We could have made it into a game that I’m sure he would be happy to play along especially if there was a prize at the end of it. Oh well..another time another nephew perhaps :)

In another two days time, I’m going to be in Singapore and I know for sure I will gain a few pounds, what with all the good food prepared by mommy dearest though sinfully rich in cholesterol and fat will for sure be delicious. Who can resist and say no, especially if it like once in three months right?

So again, I’m motivated to lose some extra pounds before my trip though I really don’t know where to start. I heard though rebounders are the best way to exercise. What are rebounders?

Rebounders are similar to trampoline, just like this picture here. I actually research the term and found the Cellercise with the Dave Hall Rebounder website. It does look like fun like doesn’t it. Jumping around on it like that. One thing that really attracted me from the website is that with Cellercise, I can melt fat and cellulite because it is the best form of aerobic activity around. The site also mentioned that this form of exercise actually burns more calories per hour than than any regular jogging or running without any hard impart on your joints!

So, definitely worth a try right?. The problem is my mind is 100% willing to give anything a go, now if only my body feels the same way ;)

You guys know I have six very furry kitties who I absolutely love and despite my allergies and asthma, I would never consider giving them away no matter what my doctor say. I keep my house clean and the kitties clean so my asthma is very well maintain smile. However, my allergies does act up sometimes and so I am always on the lookout for ways to keep the house extra clean right up to the core.

I think I may have found the solution and it is the steam cleaners. According to the site that I found it at, steam cleaners not only clean dirt and stains but also eliminate dust mites, mold, germs, spores and bacteria, something that conventional vacuum cleaner can’t do. It also tackles dirty grout, pet stains, greasy surfaces and moldy walls! This product really looks interesting and worth researching so that’s what I gonna do and who knows I may get is sooner than you think kenyit!

I need a new cellphone pretty much like now coz my Siemens one is dying on me. Even ffter I’ve given it all the juice it need, it will still die on me with just one phone call or a few text messages. The keypad is also no longer as sensitive as before. I need to press and press the keys for the numbers to stick which makes dialing and texting difficult if not impossible. I could potentially just use my old Nokia 3315 phone that works fine but that means, no camera, no saving of send messages and limited phone storage numbers. Nah… I don’t think so…lolzz.

I have two phones in mind right now. I’m torn between the Sony Ericsson P1i which is also a PDA phone, and the other is a Sony Ericsson K850i which has 5megapixel camera – which also means I don’t need to get me a digital camera anymore! Ahhh the dilemma. Maybe I should apply for cash advance loans, then I can get both! sengihnampakgigi

If anyone has these phones or have experiences using any or both of the phones, I’d appreciate any feedback so I can make an informed decision before jumping in both feet.

Thanks peeps sembah

How many of you would buy two of anything just because the price of the second item is sold at discounted price? Or how many of you would buy in bulk just because buying bulk would save you money and you know you’re gonna use the item in the future anyway? I know I’m like that. That’s why I love to buy wholesale products. You know items like pens for the office or lights bulbs even costume jewelery which I particularly like since it can double up as gifts as well…lolzz

On the subject of buying bulk, there is this premiere online wholesaler site that is selling items at knockdown prices. Maybe I should open up my own RM5.99 store here and start selling those items!

A long long time ago, I loved reading magazines like Her World, Female and Go. Then their prices went up but article wise, the quality was the same and then I also noticed that there were more ads than articles. That was the start of me NOT reading and buying magazines except the occasional glancing and browsing at the local bookstore.

One day, I accompanied Azwaj to the barber shop and seeing that I’ve got nothing to do there except watch the rows of men having their hair cut, I browsed through their magazine collection. There were, of course, the usual Cleo, Women’s Weekly and even the tv guide. As I was flipping through the collections, I noticed a new magazine I’ve not seen before. It’s called SimplyHer and it was a Singapore publication. And you know what, I actually asked the mamak guy if I could have that particular back issue to bring home! Yes, it was that GOOD!!

I am now a subscriber and because they don’t deliver to Malaysia, I only collect my subscription when I go back to Singapore. Thank God for a Singapore address!

Their latest offer. Cheap or what??!!!

EDITED: Oh you can check out their website for more details in case any Singaporeans are interested ok smile
