Music Monday #286: Where Does the Good Go (Tegan and Sara)

So Grey’s Anatomy ended its 10th session last Thursday with lots to bring forward to season 11. One of the sad part though is that Christina Yang is no longer gonna be part of season 11. I reckon now Meredith got to find another bestie. Anyway, in the season finale, a sad one at that, Christina was having a difficult time leaving for the airport and Meredith being the good friend she is, made sure she was on her way only to find Christina back at the hospital demanding their “dance” as closure. They were dancing to this song and I absolutely loved it as it so relates to their characters, being twisted and all.

Music Monday #274: Buatmu Cinta (OST Projek Memikat Suami)

The tv and Astro is fully utilize when mommy dearest is in town… and you know what she actually got me hooked on this new Malay tv series called “Projek Memikat Suami”. Starring young and upcoming tv actor, Aiman Hakim Redza and actress. Emma Maembong, it is a nice change to see new talents gracing the tv screen and the chemistry between these two is great. I am totally in love with the storyline and even thinking of getting the novel which the series is based on.

Anyway, the show is now on Astro Ria every Mondays at 10pm.

Oh Aiman Hakin Redza is also a singer and he sang this super awesome theme song translated as “For You Love” for the show. Enjoy and Happy Music Monday all!

Laurel Is Too Skinny

Me and Azwaj are on our second season of Arrow and we are loving it so far. Unlike some heroic shows, I find Arrow more realistic in the sense that this hero acknowledge he needs help in certain things and sometimes he does lose the villain and some innocent people do get killed. So anyone watched it yet?

This post is about the leading woman in the show, Laurel. Yeap she is the love of Oliver’s life but because of the circumstances, they can never be. Anyhow, in this second season, Laurel has definitely lost a lot of weight, so much so she is to the point of being skinny.. Me and Azwaj both agree that she looks so much better in the first season.

Grey's Anatomy is Back for Season 9

Grey’s Anatomy is back for Season 9 this September 27 people. Are you excited? I sure am.. After Season 8 cliffhanger finale.. who’s not right? I am pretty bumped at some of the character’s departure at the end of season 8 but the question right now is… “WHO ELSE WILL SURVIVE?”

The Worst Cook In America

The Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America returns for a third season with two-time undefeated series champion Anne Burrell challenged by superstar chef Bobby Flay on Sunday, February 12th at 9pm ET/PT. The show which sees Anne going against Bobby will see each leading a team of eight “recruits” in a eight-week boot camp which will hopefully transform these terrible cook to one competent chef.

I, personally can’t wait to see the “cooks”, all of whom, were each nominated by family and friends for their atrocious cooking skills to show off what they got to both Anne and Bobby. I bet we will see some stressful times but fun times as well. I mean these are American’s worst cook right? lol!

“After two undefeated seasons of Worst Cooks in America, I’m ready for a third,” said Burrell. “Going against Bobby Flay takes the challenge to another level, but I’m ready to whip these contestants into shape and the winner is sure to be from Team Burrell.”

“Anne may have had some early victories in past seasons, but this show is ready for a change and I’m going to bring it,” said Flay. “I’ll work my team until they can chop, filet and grill with the best of them

A $25,000 grand prize will be awarded to the winning contestant who achieves the most progress and best performance, in addition to bragging rights and victory for their culinary mentor.

Grey's Anatomy Took A Break

Grey’s Anatomy Season 8 just took a break after their 9th episode last week and is expected to be back only in January 2012. Avoiding any spoilers I’m just gonna say the last episode had someone very dear to one of the Attending died on the operating room causing Christina much grief. Derek and Meredith didn’t quite get what they want while Avery chose his career first.Sigh..

I’m so gonna miss my doctors in their scrubs and the the nurses in their nurses uniforms.

Though some of my fav tv shoes are ending their season run, some are back in full force. Supernatural, Gossip Girl,. Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy have all started their new season and I am thrilled to bits! So thrilled that I did not not even hear what A said about those industrial bearings that we might need for the home. What again? Industrial bearings? hmm…

Music Monday #143: Little Boxes (Theme song - Weeds)

 

Each time we watched Weeds, from Season 1 right through to Season 6, one thing that we always looked forward to was the theme song, Little Boxes. If you watch the show you will noticed that from Season 2 onwards, each version of the song is different with each episode and to us, that is simply awesome. It is how such attention to details makes the show fantastic from the start to the end. I found a channel on youtube that, would you believe, feature most of the show different theme song.. simply brilliant! Take a listen to the original song version and the ones at the youtube channel (unfortunately embedding is unable for the channel) and let me know which version you love.

“Weeds” is scheduled to premiere it’s 7th season on 27th June 2011. I, for one, can’t wait!

New Season of HGTV Design Star Returns

I remember the first reality show I watched. It was called “Survivor” and I was addicted to it. The plots, the scheming, the alliances and the tribal council have all the making of “good tv”. Since then, reality tv has diversified, from strategic games, it has moved to the the bedroom and living rooms of real life people. Some people don’t like it but I love it.. lol!

I am already currently addicted to shows like “Masterchef”, “Hell’s Kitchen”, Project Runaway”. “American’s Top Model” and “Guiliana and Bill”, so what is one more to add to the list right. Introducing.. HGTV Design Star. Although it’s on its sixth season in the States, the show has never been aired here but after watching the trailer.. I sure wished it was. I’ve always loved home decorating and love watching “Restaurant Makeover” and “While You Were Out” and this show would sure be blast to watch as twelve designers battle it out with fantastic decorating ideas for a chance to host their own show on HGTV.

A star-studded panel of guest judges, including designers Thom Filicia, Robert and Cortney Novogratz, Nate Berkus and Kathy Ireland, as well as Food Network’s Paula Deen and Dina Manzo, event planner and former cast member of Real Housewives of New Jersey, HGTV Design Star returns for a sixth season on Monday, July 11, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Grey's Anatomy is up for Season 8

Grey’s Anatomy Season 7 Cast

Bring out the montecristo cigars coz I’m celebrating season 8 of  my fav tv show Grey’s Anatomy.

I just finished watching the season 7 finale of Grey’s Anatomy, fully anticipating it to the series finale but what I saw was a complete cliffhanger. Totally dissatisfied if it was indeed a series finale, I goggled and found out that it has been picked up for season 8! Yeay!! I read some reviews that people were not satisfied over the way Shonda Rhimes ended the season but I think it was great.

Not going into too much spoiler, I’m sure Derek will come to his senses, Christina will have a change of heart. Lexie will realise who her true love is and Meredith will simply just evolve to the next phase in her life.

I Love Drop Dead Diva

It was like a fire pit a few weeks ago here at my apartment. It was hot and it was stuffy and the aircon was blasting away. So the rain these days was a welcome change. The air felt fresh again and even the kitties are grooming less nowadays.

Anyway, am taking it easy these days and I am taking this resting period to catch up on my Bold and Beautiful episodes and a brand new series call Drop Dead Diva that my BFF, Mariuca, recommended the other day. She told me that I would love it and she was right! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. it’s funny, it’s romantic and definitely my cup of tea with all the weird court cases that was presented. I always loved Ally McBeal and this is similar in some ways.

Thanks GP for recommending it!! You know me so well!
