I don’t why but I was so extremely tired last night but despite that I still stayed up late coz I wanted to watch “Supernatural” and then “Las Vegas” after that. Both episodes were great so I had no regrets.

Hubby and I eventually retired at about 2am or so. I thought I could get some shut eye for 2hrs before I need to wake up and cook the rice for “sahur“. Alas, the alarm clock rang, but I was lost in lullaby land. The next thing I knew was I awoke, looked at the time and went “ahhhhhhh.. it’s 5am already”…The funny thing was hubby did not wake up either. He must have been tired as well..hehehe

Anyway, I worked like superwoman. Cook the rice, heat the food up and still got time to write two entries for payperpost. But we had to eat like superpeople too coz we only had fifteen minutes to spare before we the fasting start for the day.

Note to moi: Next time cook the rice and put it in the warmer before bedtime…

Hari Raya, which is a day celebrated by the Muslims to mark the end of the one month fasting period is just round the corner and is always a good excuse to… SHOP! Yey!!

I’ve already bought some new traditional clothing back in Singapore on my trip last month so now I only need to get some new stuff for the home like carpets, curtains and beddings.

Hubby and me can pretty much agree on all items as we have similar taste but we can’t quite see eye to eye on the beddings. While I love the floral and feminine design, hubby prefers the clean look like the one from the Ralph Lauren Wiltshire beddings collection but hey it’s a celebration, lets get Royal! So here’s my choice from Amazon.com

What do you think??

I am thankful for the husband
who is on the sofa, being a couch potato
Because he is home with me and not out at the bars.

For the taxes I pay
because it means I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party
because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug
because it means I have enough to eat.

For the shadow that watches me work
because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For the lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the government
because it means we have freedom of speech

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot
because it means I am capable of walking and
I have been blessed with transportation.

For the huge air-con bill
because it means I am cooler in the heat

For the lady behind me who sings off key
because it means I can hear

For the pile of laundry and ironing
because it means I have clothes to wear

For the weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day
because it means I have capable of working hard

And finally for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours
because it means I am alive..

What are you thankful for..?
