Over the Roof Snailmail *

As you guys know I was just back in my Singapore home and as usual after a 4 months absence, my snailmail box is over the roof. Here are just some of them:

1. Since I am approaching 40 in March, I got an offer from NTUC Income for the ElderShield Scheme. Uwah!!! Eldershield is an affordable severe disability insurance scheme which provides basic financial protection tho those who need long-term care, especially in old age. It provides a monthly cash payout of $400 for a maximum of 72 months to help pay the out-of-pocket expenses for the care of those policyholders who become severely disabled. As much as this sounds like a great insurance, I got to opt out of it as I don’t live in Singapore anymore and the payout is only for those living in Singapore.
2. I found out that resident individuals earning less than $22,000 a year, do not need to file an Income Tax Return for 2009 anymore. Prior to this everyone got to file even to report zero earning. So.. no filing for me and mommy!

And the good news….

As part of the GST offset package, I am getting SGD500 into my bank account. Yihaa!!.. the first payout is on 1st March for SGD250 and the the balance on 1st July! Sweet!!

MM- Flop Poppy at MyEvo ClubHouse Launch *

We had a blast on Saturday over at the MyEvo Clubhouse Launch. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to live bands playing and to be able to again was SUPER AWESOME!! We had fantastic bands playing too. I must say I was really impressed with the “otai” band SATIRA. After disappearing from the scene for 20 years, they were rocking the house with their previous hits. Everyone was singing along and die-hard fans was urging them encore so much that instead of one appearance last night, they stayed on and performed another set, much to the delight of the audience!

We also had Ana Rafali, an upcoming new star with a fantastic voice who I’m gonna feature at Being Woman, Peejoy – a wonderful singer with ah so romantics songs, that I’m featuring at Life’s Pages and Field Players that I’m featuring at Gossip Galore.

However, for today’s MM here over at LJL, I’m gonna feature my favorite band of the night, FLOP POPPY!. OMG! They were super awesome. I love their performance for that night. Sorry about the sound quality though, it’s my phone and definitely not them!
