“Regarded as one of the great hotels in Asia in its heyday, The Majestic Hotel was once a prestigious landmark in Kuala Lumpur akin to the likes of London’s Dorchester, Hong Kong’s Peninsula, Singapore Raffles, New York’s Waldorf Astoria and George V in Paris. It is a great honor to have been given the responsibility of restoring this national heritage to its former glory.” said Tan Sri’ (Dr) Francis Yeoh Sock Ping, in his opening speech at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, grand opening on 8 December 2012.
Meticulously restored with great attention to its original period design, The Majestic Hotel now has a new wing and additional facilities that reflect the needs of today’s demanding visitor and clientele. The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is poised to reclaim its rich heritage and win over the discerning and distinguished.

The Majestic Wing, the fully restored original five storey Majestic Hotel, houses the Suites with Butler Service, The Colonial Cafe, The Bar and the Tea Lounge. Complementing the art deco style, a new 15-storey Tower Wing houses the Reception, Deluxe Rooms and Suites, Contango Restaurant which features an open kitchen with a seating capacity for 250 people, 17 meeting rooms, a pillarless ballroom that can seat 1,200 people, a gymnasium and a swimming pool.

In a separate building, The Majestic Spa offers seven treatment rooms, a relaxation area, and its own swimming pool. A second two-storey building called The Smoke House feature a bar, grooming room, cigar room, private dining area with a Chef on call, screening room and a card room.
We were given a view at all the facilities mentioned above and each room and venue that we visited only added more “wow” to our senses. It was indeed a Majestic evening. Congratulations on your grand opening Majestic Hotel!
